Ted or Arthur??

Argh literally since we found out we were having a boy, dh and I have been swithering about names.
I love Ted, Dh doesn't love it but said he was happy to use it since he couldn't think of anything he prefered.
Now he's thrown Arthur into the mix.. I don't love it but think it is cute.
So Ted or Arthur?? Please don't be suggesting more, my brain has had enough

Arthur, we would have used it for DS2 but it really doesn't work with our surname. It's a lovely name.

Ted Smile

Fabulous names. We have both a Ted and an Arthur. :)

EachandEveryone · 30/09/2015 06:39

Ted and not Teddy. Arthur is lovely but I would have to call him Artie

Arthur.

I am not with this current revival for ted/teddy.

But I do like Edward. I know you don't want more choices, but ted as a nn for Edward?

MyNameIsRonnieFuckingPickering · 30/09/2015 11:00

Arthur.

I've noticed that Ted and Teddy have suddenly become ultra popular. What's that all about, is it celeb related?

I like Edward/Eddie better than Ted or Arthur.

Lunastarfish · 30/09/2015 11:26

I'm not a massive fan of either. I know a few Ted/Teddy babies so it seems popular to me. I would choose it over Arthur though but register as Theodore or Edward and use Ted as a shortened version

celtictoast · 30/09/2015 11:59

Arthur

Sophronia · 30/09/2015 13:05

Arthur. I only like Ted if it's short for Edward or Theodore.

SmugairleRoin · 30/09/2015 15:58

Arthur. I'm not a fan of Ted on its own.

SteamPunkGoth · 30/09/2015 16:02

Arthur. If I was ever to have another baby, never going to happen) he would be called Arthur.

Onedirectionarestillloved · 30/09/2015 16:42

Ted.

GreenWalls · 30/09/2015 18:44

Yes, our Ted is an Edward :)

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 30/09/2015 18:45

Ted

JoeMommuh · 30/09/2015 19:03

Edward or Arthur? Or just ted? I'd have to say you need the full name because I'm strict like that!

Blondie87 · 01/10/2015 18:58

I think Ted is sweet but I would register him as Edward or Theodore (just a personal preference). Your little one will have options as to what to be called and he can be Ted to you.
N.B. I'm slightly biased as I have a gorgeous Edward who gets Eddie/Edward/TeddyEdward etc! Arthur was our other fab name- both are fab!

Blondie87 · 01/10/2015 18:59

*fav name

rubybloom2 · 02/10/2015 17:44

I love both, but Arthur has the edge for me. I know three baby Teds born this year (one is Edward, shortened to Teddy) and Arthur is one of my own top two names if we have a boy.

WanderingTrolley1 · 02/10/2015 18:01

Definitely Arthur.
