We are expecting DS2 in a couple of weeks and have no idea for a name!

I've name changed so I can give all the details! DS1 is Chester John Derrick

I quite like
Percy
Ellis
Elliot
Rudi (maybe a bit chavvy?! Confused)

DP likes
Arthur
Albie
Wilfie

We don't really like each other's choices! And both prefer names that don't have an obvious / easy shortening, and not too common but not too weird! Any ideas?!

Frodsham?

TattieHowkerz · 20/09/2015 08:09

From all of these, Elliot. Dut you need to find something you both like if possible!

Percy is the worst.

Whoknewitcouldbeso · 20/09/2015 08:15

I like Elliot, Arthur is on our short list but I'm not convinced.

SmugairleRoin · 20/09/2015 10:59

From all of those I'd pick Elliot, Ellis or Arthur.
Wilfie, Percy and Albie are dreadful on anyone over 2.

Suggest: Ezra, Leon, Jude, Frank or Francis, Daragh, Milo, David, Leo, Enda, Isaiah, Rohan, Pascal, Joseph.

Wishful80smontage · 20/09/2015 11:02

I like your dh choices the best sorry OP but his are lovely and really go with Chester more IMO but 2/3 of his choices are on my list for dc2 so I am biased :)

MrsHathaway · 20/09/2015 11:19

Leighton?

Francoitalialan · 20/09/2015 12:09

Ellesmere? Helsby?

MelodyYowl · 20/09/2015 13:39

Thank you for your comments! I'm not 100% on any of the names so it's good to gauge opinions, we have most of the other names you've all suggested in our immediate family anyway which makes it more tricky! :)

I love Arthur. I'd also like to suggest Ford. Smile

RedToothBrush · 20/09/2015 16:10

Don't go with something ending in an -ie sound. Its too cutsie.

Wilfred rather than Wilfie
Albert rather than Albie

You can always shorten anyway.

Same vibe as Chester:

Beckett, Buster, Everett, Otis, Winston, Laurence, Hector, Walter, Clark, Vincent, Buddy, Hugh, Woody, Kit, Franklin, Edison

I like Elliot from your selection. I'm with you regarding not liking your DP's selection. How about

Felix
Digby
Lance
