We are pretty certain on Evelyn as a first name and looking for a middle name to go with it. DP isn't keen on popular middles names such as Rose, Grace, May. I think a one syllable or two syllable name will work best but open to longer names. Suggestions very much appreciated!! Also if you have/are/know an Evelyn please let me know their middle names!! TIA

Do you have any family/friend names you might like to use? Just for inspiration.

I like the sound of Evelyn with a short middle name.
Joy, Anne, Faith, Hope, Joan, Jane, Louise...

I know an Evelyn Bridget.

We wanted to avoid family names if possible, there aren't any that we really love with Evelyn anyway.

I like Faith but surname begins with F so don't know if it's too much of a mouthful? Although it's not as though we go round saying everybodys full name all of the time..

Ah I see. I do really like Evelyn Faith but your initials would then be EFF - I know in the school I teach in the kids would take delight in saying eff off (joys of it all). But other than that I think it's lovely, and fine with the surname.

Some more: Mary, Ivy, Mercy, Megan, Honor, Lily, Irene...
I remember seeing Lilac on here once and thinking it'd make quite a pretty middle name Blush

Yes I'm also worried about initials making a word! There's so much to think about when naming your child, such a massive responsibility!!

Thankyou for all of the suggestions, will go through them with DP this evening and see what he thinks!
