What do you think?

That's one of my favorite names.

I think it looks nicer as Robin though.

PerfectlyPosed · 15/09/2015 13:46

I prefer it for a girl more than for a boy

plonkie · 15/09/2015 13:46

LOVE it. Love the spelling too.

plonkie · 15/09/2015 13:49

And fwiw I'm a woman with a name that's normally a male name, but spelt unusually and I love my name! Get lots of comments on it (some ppl are confused!!) but lots of compliments too :-). Glad I have an unusual name!

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 15/09/2015 13:49

Lovely. I prefer it for a girl too.

WhyCantIuseTheNameIWant · 15/09/2015 13:52

I have a good female friend Robyn.

She gets bob as a nn.

I like it. Unusual but not weird.

fairyfeatures · 15/09/2015 14:03

Love it but really dislike the only woman I know with the same name so wont use it myself. Damnit!

Jw35 · 15/09/2015 14:05

Thanks I did mean for a girl :-)

A bit dated and eighties, imo.

Minimaus · 15/09/2015 14:14

Nice name that isn't overused - good choice imo.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 15/09/2015 14:21

Yes you said in your title OP !, I was just musing.

Jw35 · 15/09/2015 14:39

Its funny how things are dated from the 80's yet names much older are cool and vintage! I don't remember it in the 80's but fair enough

I really like it! In fact, I think I might add it to my 'girl' list for DC2 (due in Feb).

KaraokeQueenOfTheNorth · 15/09/2015 14:45

Really like it :-)

QforCucumber · 15/09/2015 14:46

it's our chosen name for baby due in March if it's a girl Smile

fleurdelacourt · 15/09/2015 14:58

Nope - knew a really awful bully called Robyn - could never like the name after that.

The idea of having a daughter who people might call Bob or Rob might also put me off though?

leccybill · 15/09/2015 15:00

Absolutely love it - also I once knew a horrid bullying Robyn too, wonder if we're all talking about the same one.

Jw35 · 15/09/2015 15:08

Yes the nn thing is bugging me a bit! Don't like Rob or Bob! Love Robyn though!

Not keen, agree that it's a bit dated and 80s.

BimbleBombleBee · 16/09/2015 00:00

Sorry, but I hate boys names on girls.

Mrsfrumble · 16/09/2015 04:21

2 syllable names don't really need a nickname. Having said that, I call the little Robyn I know Bobbins. It suits her!

Hairballs · 16/09/2015 10:03

Lovely.

Tornupinside · 16/09/2015 10:23

Love it! Was on my list for DD, maybe next time :-)
