Biblical names

I would like something Biblical, and ideally something that can't be shortened.
For a boy I love James but DH is firmly against it.
I would like to avoid anything beginning with A, R or C.
Does anything fit the bill??

Levi, Jonah, Jordan (?), David, Michael, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Joseph, Isaiah, Noah, Ishmael, Joshua, Isaac...lots.

The trouble with names is anything can be shortened really - I knew a Mark who was M or Emmy to many (he hated Emmy Grin ).

Joel
Jude
Peter
Timothy
Silas

Thanks, yes it is tricky to find one that won't be shortened.
I do like Luke but our surname is also quite short so I'm not sure it works.
I do already have one DS ("A") and picking his name seemed so much easier!
I may have to give up on the Biblical idea so that I'm not so limited.

Really like Joel as well.
But I'm sure even I would start to use Joe as a nickname from an early age.

Shame you don't want A as Asa rocks! And is hard to shorten.

I have a dear friend who has three grandsons, Jonah, Isaac and Elijah. I adore biblical names, they are timeless.
