What is everyone's opinions :)

It probably won't get MN approval but I really like it.

I'm afraid it makes me think of 1984

It's a nice, solid sort of name. I imagine a Winston would be sensible and responsible. It's not cutesy and is a name that a boy would grow into.

I don't hate it and I don't love it. I'm indifferent.

The stall holder on Eastenders who has a line once every five years.

Aside from that I don't love it but could get used to it.

I think of it as one of those names that is popular with English butlers but also popular in Jamaica. Like it very much - put it in the same category as Reginald.

It doesn't sound posh. Winston Smith I think. Isn't 1984 being remade. The bandwagoners might make it trendy (Atticus style).

Not posh to me. It's ok, as long as he doesn't get Winnie.

Cool name and due a revival, as all the Winstons I know are of Caribbean extraction and in their 70s. Possibly the Windrush generation were favouring Churchillian/very 'English' names?

(I am also highly amused that the only living Enoch I know is a black anti-racism campaigner.)
