No its a giraffe's name.

(and yes I know what Jeffrey is about but prefer my innocence).

PotteringAlong · 21/08/2015 14:06

I'd spell it Geoffrey.

iamaboveandBeyond · 21/08/2015 14:07

Oo, good point

"There's millions of jeffreys all under one roof"

duckbilled · 21/08/2015 16:13

Makes me think of the barefoot contessa, not a fan.

fattymcfatfat · 21/08/2015 16:15

KaraokeQueenOfTheNorth · 22/08/2015 07:47

Love Jeffrey. Ooh, or Jefferson! Jeffers for short.

NoMontagues · 22/08/2015 07:48

Grin Grin

Jeffrey/Geoffrey is a grower.

It started out as a "joke name" when I was expecting DS. "Imagine a baby called JEFF?!" and is now a serious contender for DC2 ...

So, yes, love it.

BikeRunSki · 22/08/2015 07:53

I've always said that I cN't imagine cooing into a crib at a baby called Jeffrey (so Derek, Ian and Neil), although I appreciate that old gents with these names were once babies. Grin

PacificDogwood · 22/08/2015 07:57

Jeffrey is SO due a revival - unusual, but not made up; will suit a baby and the grown man; and think of all the role models: Jeffrey Dahmer, Jeffrey Archer… Grin

For the record, I know a Jeffrey, aged about 45, who is very lovely.

iamaboveandBeyond · 22/08/2015 09:54

Grin at Jeffrey archer

Awful.

SmugairleRoin · 23/08/2015 02:07

Makes me think of that little bastard Joffrey from GOT. I don't see it being a long lasting reference But it has ruined the name for me...so purely on that it's a no from me! Grin

Stompylongnose · 23/08/2015 03:13

As long as you haven't got a Rod, Jane, Freddy, Bungle or Zippy in the family...

MamaLazarou · 24/08/2015 11:52

Gives me a Pixies earworm -not a bad thing.

RevsDeCub · 24/08/2015 11:54

My bump was Jeff until we found out the sex. Although, it's more our stupid sense of humour as the pregnancy pillow was Dave...

NoMontagues · 24/08/2015 13:36

mama but isn't that Jefrey with one F?

Jef - rey!

EmmaWoodlouse · 27/08/2015 19:59

I like it, although I think I slightly prefer the spelling Geoffrey, which would fit in quite well with all the "old-fashioned English" names that have become popular again like George, Harry etc.

MistressMerryWeather · 28/08/2015 08:54

I love it. Wink
