My husband and I prefer classic strong names. We really like a lot of English names, but since we are of Russian origin, can't use a lot of them, as it would sound either too odd with our surname or difficult/"too foreign" for grandparents/relatives.
So, the name has to:
- work well both in English and Russian
- be well liked in UK, as we've been living here for a long time and plan to raise our children here
- work well with his elder sister's name - Elizabeth (it's a bit tricky, as a lot of the names sound to "royal" when combined).
Below is our list of names, please give me you honest opinion, favourites, criticism and ideas:
- Daniel
- Andrew
- William
- Edward
- Theodore
- Jacob
- Arthur
- Benjamin
- Frederick
- George
- Thomas
- Charles
- Leo
- James
- Matthew
- Timothy
- Alfred
- Mark
Many thanks in advance!!! :)
