What do people think of Jesse for our baby boys name? It's quite unusual and I'm not sure if it could lead to getting picked on as a child, but my husbands granddad was called it, I never hear of it anymore other than in America.

Personally, I love it.

DoItTooJulia · 14/08/2015 21:17

I love it and if hell froze over and we had another dc it'd be his name for sure. Smile

treaclesoda · 14/08/2015 21:19

I love it.

AlfieandAnnieRose · 14/08/2015 22:35

I love it. Ronnie woods' son is called Jesse, if that interests you!

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 14/08/2015 22:37

I don't like it for a boy.

Too many girl Jessies around for it to sound masculine for me.

sidonie1 · 15/08/2015 12:43

I love it and it was top of my list but my husband strongly vetoed it. He thought it would lead to bullying.

I have a 17 yo Jesse - still love it

needmorespace · 16/08/2015 17:58

and it's funny because I just don't 'hear' it as a girl's name.
and he's never been bullied...

BeautifulBatman · 16/08/2015 18:02

Love it. DH wouldn't entertain it but I would in a heartbeat.

There are several popular American actors called Jesse now, and I doubt that any babies called Jesse will find the name a problem in a few years.

Chimchar · 16/08/2015 23:10

I love it.

It's the name of my next child. (That will never ever be born!)

inthewoods4 · 16/08/2015 23:35

It's my great grandad's name and my baby's middle name. I kind of wish we'd been brave enough to use it as a first name!
