I like Thomas but I've used it as a middle name.
Can you think of any other names like Thomas? To me it's classic and timeless but not too royal, stuffy or old man sounding. ..

Any of the other names from Thomas the tank books? I can only think of Gordon and James right now, sorry! But there's quite a few classic names in them if I remember.

It is hard to beat Thomas! I can't use it. The closest on here is William. 2 things putting me off are its popularity and Prince William! I can see what people are getting at with the tank engine names, but none of them quite do it for me. I also like Ben, but can't use it as close family have beaten me to it.

The DDs would have been one of those three or Henry, but only chose the latter for alliterative purposes. Although he was DH's fave engine

Can't believe noone has said Michael yet. Its a neutral classic.

Don't you like Samuel or Daniel? I think Tom, Ben, Sam and Dan are all so similar.

Yes. I like Tom, Ben, Dan and Will. Not sure why I don't like Sam.
But I don't like the 'yul' sound in Daniel.
