Sunny and Bonnie are really far too similar.

savasana · 11/08/2015 21:00

I love it. I'd like to be called Sunny.

lullabelle85 · 11/08/2015 21:01

Wouldn't most girls names sound odd on a hulking great teenage footballer?? :)

I think of Sonny, or even Sonny Jim, when I hear it, so I wouldn't go there.

Bluebell works with your other girls, or how about something like India / Indigo (shorten to Indie, if you like)?

MsPhoebeCaulfield · 11/08/2015 21:09

I know an Alba and she's ace, I really like the name!

sanityforlunch · 11/08/2015 21:11

It's ok. Prefer Sonny for a boy.

No? The girls football team near me don't sound weird with their names?

Sunny is a nick nickname but I'm not sure of it as a full name especially when you have a Bonnie. Bonnie and Sunny are very similar to my ears, perhaps too similar for sisters?

I love your middle names, they're great. I also love Belle.

WishIWasWonderwoman · 11/08/2015 21:14

I meant Sunny is a nice nickname.

WitchofScots · 11/08/2015 21:14

I prefer Summer to Sunny, lovely idea though.

Marcipex · 12/08/2015 11:01

What about Soleil?

I think that's a beautiful name.

morepleasegromit · 14/08/2015 14:33

Lola, Bonnie and Trixi aka Beatrix Belle

badtime · 14/08/2015 14:49

Sunny is too similar to Bonnie.

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 14/08/2015 14:52

Boney M.

Fishwives · 14/08/2015 14:57

Sunny is terrible. It's the kind of cutesy-pie 'I'm a bit zany, me' name Jamie Oliver would call his child. Alba or Beatrix are lovely.

lullabelle85 · 14/08/2015 19:52

I actually like the names Jamie Oliver and his wife chose for their children :))

I don't like it I am afraid. I think it is very hard to wear a name which implies a set personality.

Alba is lovely. Smile

30andtired · 14/08/2015 21:22

Oh I love it Smile especially with your other daughters names.

Both my children have what can be classed as nicknames, that are names in their own right too. They also both have unisex names, with the opposite sex spelling Grin
I like quirky, fun names.

I think names grow with a person, I'm yet to meet an adult who's name did t fit after I'd got to know them properly.

Go for it OP, I personally have a very unusual name, and I love it, it's a great conversation starter.

Strokethefurrywall · 14/08/2015 21:27

Love Sunny for a girl, it's makes me smile (which is kind of the point!)Bonnie was on my list but doesn't go with our surname.

There is a Sunny in DS2's daycare and she's gorgeous. It's quirky and goes with your other DDs' names. Go for it!

You don't choose names based on assumptions of their character (not understanding the "she couldn't be a grief counselor or skin cancer specialist" comment! Who the fuck says so?! She can be what she wants to be, her name isn't going to hold her back)

My best friend works with a lovely Filipino couple at her hospital - he's called Happy, she's called Sunny. Bloody fantastic!

Panzee · 14/08/2015 21:32

I don't normally like unusual names but I do like Sunny. I think you should use it. :)

SmugairleRoin · 14/08/2015 23:19

Names can and do hold people back - just look at Talllulahdoesthehulafromhawaii, or whatever that famous case was. Are you really telling me that that mouthful would be regarded just as equally on a CV as say, Sarah or Emma?

Of course Sunny is nowhere near as ridiculous as that - but op I still think using it as a nickname and choosing a different name (doesn't even have to be anything like Sunny) would be better.

Binit · 14/08/2015 23:22

People will assume it's Sonny and a boy.

I'd go with Violet.

cosmobrown · 14/08/2015 23:22

I know a Sunny, which is a nn for Susannah. It suits her. (she's about 15 or 16).
