Are they 'posh' names? I have a feeling that Jasper is and Casper isn't.

Struggling for boys names, and I like these, but I don't want anything pretentious.

So..thoughts on these, or any other ideas for slightly unusual

thanks

I love jasper!

HopOnTheMonnerBus · 11/08/2015 12:07

I like both but sway towards Casper, I think it sounds a bit 'stronger' than Jasper.

Caspar makes me think of the ghost. I love Jasper though

Ladypug · 11/08/2015 12:11

Love love love Jasper!

TremoloGreen · 11/08/2015 13:20

I know a 'posh' Caspar and and a 'non-posh' Jasper. Jasper goes to a private school though.

Where do you live? I used to live in London - kids are called all sorts!

TremoloGreen · 11/08/2015 13:20

I like them both. Prefer Caspar, just.

Nannyplum2029 · 11/08/2015 13:33

I know one of each, neither posh! Both fab names, but I prefer Casper.

CrystalMcPistol · 11/08/2015 13:34

Jasper is a definite Tim Nice But Dim kind of name.

Casper is more European than posh. And I prefer it.

redsquareyellowsquare · 11/08/2015 15:02

I'm South Wales. Neither are at all common around here, which is why I'm not sure where they 'fit' (a few Kacpers though, Crystal).

Thanks for the opinions. Swaying towards Casper.

Not worried about the ghost, that was about 2 generations ago now!
