Phew!

wafflyversatile · 09/08/2015 01:44

No, no, no, oh, a cactus.

Cuthbert.

cosmicglittergirl · 09/08/2015 01:48

I have a cactus called Colin.

GilbertBlytheWouldGetIt · 09/08/2015 02:09

Clive

TheCowThatLaughs · 09/08/2015 03:10

Clive

TheGirlOnTheLanding · 09/08/2015 08:12

Ah, but one will be lonely. Clearly you have to get two little cactus friends and use all three names.

WhyCantIuseTheNameIWant · 09/08/2015 08:14

We have one each. Ds has called his quentin. Or was it Tarquinius?

I would have said Colin. But for a cactus I think Cuthbert would do nicely Grin

Mrsindecision · 09/08/2015 14:04

I met a toddler called Colin recently! Smile

marinacortina · 09/08/2015 14:28

If it's got lots of those woolly little spines - Cuthbert.
It it's got sharp evil lances - Clive.

Quasilulu · 10/08/2015 01:19

My cactus is called Milligan

ImpatiencePersonified · 10/08/2015 05:03

In true mums net fashion I'm going to ignore your names and just list some random others instead. It doesn't matter that you don't like them or clearly want something beginning with C....

Derek the cactus
Peregrine (seems popular on ere)
Chlamydia..... Seems fitting AND begins with C, therefore I win and the prickly c*nt should be called chlamydia.

Wink

Ah jeez, I'm glad it's for a cactus!

Wouldn't Caracterus the Cactus work for you?

If not, then I think, of the 3 you've picked, Clive. Cuthbert is too wet (see Dennis the Menace), and Colin is also a bit wet (see H. Potter).

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 10/08/2015 05:08

Quasi - I like it! Grin

SteveBrucesNose · 10/08/2015 05:28

Whilst I adore Milligan, I think caractacus would suit your spikey little one best.

But, your cactus, your choice, innit hun x

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 10/08/2015 05:51

Steve, thank you for correcting my Caracterus - Caractacus was the name I was aiming for but I had a brain fade half way through it! (I had Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in my head while I was typing it, maybe that's why...)

Caractactus Potts, the cactus. Perfect! Grin

WhyCantIuseTheNameIWant · 15/09/2015 21:40

They are only baby cacti at the moment. Sharp pointy spikes.

I am liking clamydia (sp?)

How do I tell if they are boy cactus or girl cactus? Cuz clam would be a girl name?

Sir Colin Cuthbert Clive Cactus.

'Tis a fine name Wink.

Binglet · 15/09/2015 22:31

I had a cactus at work. It's name was Prick Grimes!

MrsGentlyBenevolent · 15/09/2015 22:32

Noooo, those names are awful!

Confucius the Cactus, it has historical meaning and is long over due a comeback for a name.

Or Wilberforce.....

DandyDan · 16/09/2015 07:42

Desmond the Cactus lives at our house

maggiethemagpie · 18/09/2015 20:46

Cuthbert is my least favourite baby name of all time. But if it's only for a cactus....

BlueChampagne · 18/09/2015 20:54

Was going to say that whichever you choose, he'm be the only one in his class - clearly not the case with cacti! I suggest Van Helsing - a champion spiker!
