I have a Frederick (Freddy). I love it. My other son's middle name is James.

Frederick is a good name and the nickname freddie is really cute

cheddaraddict · 06/08/2015 14:58

Both are great names, Frederick has more nn potential (but then I would say that, DS is Frederick (Freddie) James...

Difficult one. James I think

lillipad21 · 06/08/2015 15:05

I prefer James, but nn's for Frederick are far nicer. I don't what it is about Jimmy, i just don't like it at all

James is lovely. Very Classic.

Freddie I dislike, twee and a bit too trendy/now but I do like Frederick!

Mouthfulofquiz · 06/08/2015 15:22

There are so many Freddies now... It's the new Archie / Arthur!
Go for James. Lovely name. Jimbob is my favourite nickname for James!

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 06/08/2015 15:24

James is great and Jimmy is fantastic, I love it.

Sophronia · 06/08/2015 16:31

I went to a christening last week and the child's name is James Frederick. Love both of them, but prefer Jamie to Freddy. Freddy actually puts me of Frederick.
