Clementine Sophie Grace or Sophie Clementine Grace?

I love all three of these names together, but can't decide which combination is nicer in general. What do you think? Other names on my list include:

Sophie Clementine Grace - so similar to my DD1's name, just a different C name!

I like Michael Alexander from your boys list, but not keen on Ryan.

I think both are beautiful but it's really whether you prefer Sophie or Clementine as that's what she will be known as. I personally prefer Clementine.

Your other girl choices are nice but not as keen on Lillian as it would probably just be shortened to Lilly. Also Maude has too flat a sound for me iykwim.

Love Michael Alexander without the Ryan, as that just it seems an afterthought.

Prefer Charles to Charlie, Charles William or William Charles sounds great to my ears

Sophronia - thank you! Ryan's a bit of a family name for me, so I'm happy to use it in the middle for Michael Alexander. I think I more posted the list to help with deciding between Sophie and Clementine as a first name, but thank you for the feedback xx

getbusyliving - I think I see myself using Sophie more, but I love Clementine Sophie Grace as well, so I'm a little torn there. Lillian's a family name, so I'm very happy to keep that on my list, and Maude's one that I just can't seem to stop liking, but I do know what you mean about the sound :/ Ryan & Daniel are family names for me (and the two middle name tradition is something I'd like to carry on in my family, as my parents skipped it with my sister and I ). Unfortunately, I really dislike Charles for some reason, which is strange because I love Charlotte and Charlie! x

Not at all, Marigold is a fitting name for a little girl and then a very feminine and sophisticated name for a woman. I also love how Florence can be shortened to such lovely nicknames. Flora, Flo etc. You've come up with a beautiful name there!

Anyway, all of the names you've come up with are gorgeous in their own rights, so it won't matter which you choose, but that one really stood out for me :)

Helena - thank you! I may use Marigold as a first name one day then, hopefully it doesn't get too trendy thanks to Downton Abbey! I like that about Florence too, my favourite nickname is Flossie for it (family name), but I also love Flora and Florrie! I like to use family names where I can, so most of them actually are names from my family . xx

Sophie Clementine Grace. I love the elegant simplicity of Sophie and paired with a longer middle name, gorgeous!

Clementine Sophie Grace, as Sophie is hugely popular as a first name.
I prefer Violet Eleanor Lucy though, and also like Maude though not the middle names you mention.

Not keen on any of the boys names and I don't think Ryan fits in with Famous Five style of the other names, though I see it is a family name, which is always a nice idea.

Clementine Sophia Grace has a lovely ring to it as well, and the extra syllable makes it flow well. Unless there's a family relation to which you attribute the Sophie, in which case, I still adore Clementine Sophie Grace (Clemmie as a nickname is one of the cutest things) And as she grows older she'll appreciate the more unique first name.

I thought of the Downton Abbey link with Marigold! But even though its been on the show, its still quite an acquired taste which not everyone will be brave enough to use, so your possible Marigold will be quite unique :)

Clementine is beautiful... She could always use her middle name if she doesn't like it, but having a unique first name is something special

Marigold is the mum in a jacqueline Wilson book isnt she? The one with all the tattoos who paints herself white? That's my only association with the name.

Can't remember what it was called, there were two kids Star and Dolphin...I'm sure a 10 year old could help me out!

I know I'm in the minority but I don't get the popularity of clementine. It's a fruit. And potential nn Clemmy which sounds like clammy or a redneck hick name (Cletus and Clemmy) Ugh!

The name Clementine predates the fruit and comes from Latin meaning gentle or merciful.

Prefer Clementine and like HelenaJohannsen's suggestion of Clementine Sophia Grace.....

Clementine was our first choice name for a DD.
