Edison Maxwell

DS is due in the next few weeks. I want to use Maxwell as a middle name due to family connections but DH and I have been struggling with a first name. Last night DH suggested Edison and we both quite like it. However, I have just google Edison Maxwell and maybe not lol.

It meant nothing to me without googling though, so I'm wondering, how many of you does it mean something to if you don't look it up?

I thought of the scientist, I don't know of any other Edison.
I think it's an excellent name, unusual but not odd, with a nice short version too.

I just googled, and the names are round the other way, so I don't think it is the same. if you both like it go for it. it's not like Edison Maxwell is his first name, it will be edison.

Thanks for the answers. I was just unsure if it would be the first thing other people thought of when they heard the name. A murderer, even a fictional one, isn't really someone I'd want people thinking DS was named after.
Yes RL20 he would probably be known as Eddie most of the time and I suppose it's actually pretty unusual to hear somebody's first and middle names together anyway.

It's a fairly cheery, silly song that's nearly 50 years old. I don't think anyone's going to think badly of you for it even if they did make the connection
