IsObel is lovely as is Florence
Tammi makes me think of an American dairy queen waitress who lives in a trailer

Daphnedolittle · 28/07/2015 14:09

I think I might be the only one but I like Tammi, prefer it spelt Tammy.
Isabel is too overused for my liking.
Florence is nice but I don't love it. Lots of nn potential though!

mama2008 · 28/07/2015 14:13

Tammy/I definitely has an American feeling to it, not sure about American dairy queen waitress who lives in a trailer but I see what you mean.

Tammy is what we call our tampons but the other names are ok.

mama2008 · 28/07/2015 14:15

Do you prefer Isobel to Isabel? I Like Isabel as it is the Spanish for Elizabeth and the meaning is God's Promise / pledged to God. I know the spelling of it with an O is the Scottish version. :)

Tammi - American country singer. I prefer Tamsin.
Isabel - lovely but popular
Florence - same as Isabel

Amy106 · 28/07/2015 16:04

Tammi is cute but I would use it as a nickname for Tamara
Isabel is lovely.
Florence is okay too.

barbecue · 28/07/2015 17:03

Tammi - prefer Tammy, short for Tamara
Isabel - lovely, classic, very popular
Florence - lovely, classic

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 28/07/2015 17:07

Love IsObel.

Florence is nice.

Really dislike Tammi/Tammy, sorry.

whatsagoodusername · 28/07/2015 17:33

Tammi - school friend (American, actually Tammi Jo)

Florence - grandmother

Isabel - other grandmother Grin

My autocorrect wanted Tammi to be Tamil.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 28/07/2015 17:41

Florence- strong powerful elegant and timeless
Isobel while yes over used still very pretty and girly.
Tammi says chav to me.
Florence is the nicest though

sweetpeame · 28/07/2015 18:57

Tammi - awful name. I imagine a slightly backward redneck. The type of person who might marry their cousin (sorry but that's what I think!)
Isabel - I adore the spelling Isobel, very elegant. Everyone will say it's very popular now and I believe Isabella is but that still doesn't detract from Isobel to me. It's timeless. Not as keen on Isabel
Florence - nice enough. I know as many of these as I do Isabella's though if you're concerned about popularity.

Isobel (this spelling) is by far the nicest.

mypoorfoofoo · 28/07/2015 18:59

Isobel and Florence are lovely and classy.
Tammi especially spelled with an i screams white trash to me..

mama2008 · 28/07/2015 19:31

I guess no one likes Tammi then....????

Hate Tammi for reasons stated. Hate all names than end in I actually.

Florence is my gran's name.

IsObel is lovely.

TheNewStatesman · 28/07/2015 20:26

Florence is the best. Isobel is nice but vvvv popular right now. Tammi is awful, sorry!

Junosmum · 28/07/2015 21:12

Tammi - American stripper fallen on hard times.

Love Florence and Isabel

kaftanlady · 28/07/2015 21:16

Tammi - American PA
Isabel - Lovely NN Izzy
Florence - forever tainted by the Tories for me now

Angelto5 · 28/07/2015 21:27

I like the name Tammie but because I have a friend with a dd called it (ie spelling) & she's lovely .

I like Florence (was my dnans name) & I have a dd called Isobelle (french spelling).

Not much help though I'm afraid!Smile

BothEndsBurning · 28/07/2015 21:40

I dislike Florence, it makes me think of flounce.
Isobel is lovely, shame it's so popular just now.
Tammi is a nickname. But I like Tamsin very much, and also Tamar.

lemonade30 · 28/07/2015 22:06

not keen not any of them if I'm honest.

Florence is forever a place in my mind so tantamount to calling your child Brooklyn.

Isobel/isobelle/isabelle is very mediocre at best.

In fact out of the three I can tolerate Tammi (although the I should really be a y) if it is a nickname for Tamara.

mamalloyd · 28/07/2015 22:12

Love Florence but not so keen on Isabel (will forever be asked how to spell their name) Tammi reminds me a bit of the old clothing shop Tammy Girl although definitely unique.

Quasilulu · 29/07/2015 01:51

Tamsin is lovely.

YeOldeTrout · 29/07/2015 17:47

fine. Florence is most old-fashioned/twee.
