Hi all,
I'm looking for suggestions. I'm due a little girl in December. I would like her middle name to be Ann (after my mum) or possibly a double barrelled first name.
So far I have-
Lucy-Ann
Elsie-Ann
Lilly-Ann

But I don't love any of them.
Any suggestions?

The 'e' sound works well with ann.

I love the name Lucy Ann, all the charming, witty, sophisticated girls are called Lucy Wink
I'm planning on using Anne for a middle name too after 2 granny's possibly Beatrice Ann...

We have a Joseph too. Our girl names for DS2 were Lucy, Esme and Eleanor.

Though Esme seems to be really popular these days, as does Ellie which I suppose Eleanor would end up abbreviated to.

I think Lucy Ann is great and didn't think Lucian at all.

Befor I even opened the thread I thought 'Annabel'.

Do you like the alternative spelling of Lucie?

I know a sibset Joseph and Susannah which has the Ann for your mum. Then you get to choose another middle name.

Ooh Phoebe and Beatrice were on the list too. I would have had Lucy too if I could.

I love Beatrice but our surname begins with bea so it just doesn't sound right.

I have a Joseph who would have been a Lucy if he'd been a girl. I love both those names.

Hyphenated names I'm not keen on, so Lucy with Ann as a middle name wouldn't be a problem at all for me as it would rarely be trotted out in one mouthful (plus I don't really think it sounds like Lucian because of the 'un' sound that another poster mentioned).
