Belle gets my vote. One syllable scans better I think.

LovesYoungDream · 27/07/2015 01:47

Sophie Luciana
Sophie Anne
Sophie Marie
Sophie Louisa

I had Ella Sophia on my list if we had a girl

manicinsomniac · 27/07/2015 02:40

Sophie Madeleine
Sophie Rebecca
Sophie Alexandra

All the options work pretty well though, to be honest.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 27/07/2015 04:25

Sophie Belle

DXBMermaid · 27/07/2015 04:48

Sophie Aurora gets my vote, but it's my DD's middle name so I obviously love it!

Whenwillwe3meetagain · 27/07/2015 05:03

Belle - single syllable scans better

Yarp · 27/07/2015 08:09

Unless you are saying them together, does it really need to scan? IMO you should choose a name that means something to you - to honour a friend, relative, actor, author. Someone you admire.

Thatsnotmybabyname · 27/07/2015 09:16

Sophie Alexandra is a beautiful name, but I do agree with Yarp about choosing a meaningful name for the middle. Sophie is a lovely choice.

Sophronia · 27/07/2015 10:51

Sophie Emma, Sophie Guinevere, Sophie Alexandra or Sophie Rebecca

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 27/07/2015 13:28

Sophie Marie
Sophia Maria
Sophie Lou
Sophie Beth
Sophie Olivia
Sophie Leigh
Sophie Paige
Sophie Ellen

ilovesprouts · 27/07/2015 13:32

sophie louise
sophie mae

Watch out for middle names starting with most vowels if your surname is Whittaker. Are you bothered about initials that spell a word - SAW, SEW, SOW or even worse STW!

LamppostInWinter · 27/07/2015 13:38

I know a Sophie Elizabeth

swancourt · 27/07/2015 14:55

Sophie Emma
Sophie Amelie

AmysTiara · 27/07/2015 15:06

I much prefer Sophia to Sophie but Sophie Alexandra goes nicely.

WyrdByrd · 27/07/2015 17:29

We considered Elizabeth, Olivia and Eleanor for our Sophie.

Of your choices I think Sophie Madeline goes well, although I'm not keen on Madeline per se tbh.

Sophie Alexandra is lovely as is Sophie Aurora if you wanted something a bit different.

ashesandfire · 27/07/2015 17:52

Sophie Madeleine - lovely!
I like Sophie Rebecca too
Please don't use Bellatrix! It just screams HP and she's not exactly a nice character!

NoPinkPlease · 27/07/2015 17:52

There's a Sophie Anna in my family :-)

HSMMaCM · 27/07/2015 18:13

Belle

I also like Sophie Jo

StevieJo · 27/07/2015 21:13

Sophie Jo is adorable but too close to my name (Stevie-Jo) and yes I know Bellatrix is a Harry Potter name. I love Helena Bonham Carter and her character actually has a lot of depth and complexity. She's not just an evil person.

How about Sophie Bella or Luna as a middle name Smile ?
