suggestions instead of Jason...

Hello!

Due in 5 weeks with my second boy. Our first is Blake Peter. Blake just because we liked it, and Peter for my dad who passed when I was 12. This time I'd like to have a middle name for my husband's side. My husband's family names are all awful but his name is Jason. I'd quite like boy 2 to be Logan Jason but my hubby isn't sure about how he feels about our boy having his name (He's quite reserved and I think he worries it will come across arrogant). So I've suggested using Jasper instead (it was a name we liked anyway), a kind of nod to his name. So... any other suggestions for names that fill the same criteria? Drawing a blank!

is there a suitable surname you could use? I'm not a fan of parents names being used as either first or middle names so I'm with your husband but appreciate that others like them.

Does your DH have a middle name you could use, or his dad's name? Seems odd to me to faff around with a name like your DH's but not quite. Fully understand that some people don't like to use family names, but would then just pick something else for whatever reason you do feel is appropriate. If your DH does really want his name used but is afraid of appearing arrogant, tell him not to waste his energy worrying. Barely anyone is ever going to know your DSs middle name, much less where it came from, and this is a huge and widespread tradition. Too many people are doing it for it to be arrogant. As I said, don't really know many people's middle names, but I know it's traditional to do this in my family (English), DH's family (South African), B-I-L's family (Zimbabwean) and BFF's family (Arabic and French).
