Clara-Beth

My DH likes Clara I like Beth ......what are your thoughts on combining them into Clara-Beth (I don't want our child to sound like a hillbilly )

It does sound a bit like a character off The Waltons....
Clara is a lovely name. Clara with Beth as middle name?

think I prefer it as one word Clarabeth, or Clara Beth (but then she would only be called Clara usually). I prefer Clara as a name to Beth.

Yeah thats what I was worried about :/ I just cant see me calling out Clara across the playground (if that makes sense) I think its back to the drawing board

I'd get used to it. There is a name Clarabel I think, so Clarabeth wouldn't be a massive challenge.

I knew a L ara - B eth. She always went by Lara and didn't really use the full version. I love Clara and quite like Beth separately but not really as a double barelled name - bit Country and Western.
