Middle name for Alexander

So our baby has finally arrived and he is team blue! We are happy with our choice of Alexander for a first name but can't decide on a middle. Options:

  1. Simon - love the name but concerned about the initials ASD - would this stop you?
  2. James - great name and my husbands middle name, but also the name of an ex of mine that we are still friends with. Too weird?
  3. Toby - love this, but it actually sounds better the other way round (Toby Alexander).

Which should we go for? Any other suggestions?

I like Alexander Simon. Simon is quite unusual nowadays, whereas James is a very popular middle name.

Other suggestions...

Alexander Henry
Alexander Jude
Alexander Luke
Alexander Eli
Alexander Jacob
Alexander Leo
Alexander Walter

Something about the initials AJ seem to really work in my head. So Alexander James is v nice, though I would say that James seems to be a bit of a "go to" middle name.
Alexander Joseph
Alexander Jacob
Alexander Jonathan

Not much Alexander doesn't go with. Lovely name ????
