I heard this name recently and kind of like it.
What associations does it have for people.
Mallory Towers?!

I knew a baby Mallory about 20 years ago. Named after the Everest climber. I really like it.

First thoughts were Family Ties, followed by Mallory Towers. I think it's quite a ugly name.

I think first of George(?) Mallory, the explorer who disappeared trying to climb Mount Everest.

And Thomas Malory, medieval author.

And then I do think of Mallory Towers Grin

One of my friends changed her name (I won't mention the name here, Mallory being uncommon enough in the UK), she'd always been so embarrassed by the name Mallory.

Apparently, and to add to the embarrassment, her mother had named her after Malory Towers, but hadn't spelt it correctly, the Blyton book, Malory Towers, being spelt with just one 'l' obviously.

It's not a good name, being more popular as a surname, and I don't think Enid Blyton would have approved either.

Towers.

Melanie?

I definitely associate it with Natural Born Killers and Mallory Knox.

Dc1 might have been Mallory if she was a boy. It was in our short list with George and Ralf.

So I'm biased but I like it (but not enough to name either of our ds's it Hmm)

I think it's great. Prefer it spelt as Mallory, but Malorie Blackman, mentioned upthread, children's laureate, would be an inspirational namesake. Heard her on Desert Island Discs and she was wonderful.

It's quite nice. I think I prefer Mallorie, don't know why really. I also know a Malaurie, who is French, that's nice too.
