I think Amity is lovely and underused.

Nia doesn't really sound like a real name (is it?) and not a fan of Brooke I'm afraid.

SavoyCabbage · 05/07/2015 00:07

Everything Gnome said! Nia is just a noise to me.

FraggleHair · 05/07/2015 02:23

Amity reminds me of the Amityville murders and subsequent horror films.

Nia will constantly be mistaken for the very popular Mia.

Brooke is okay.

NadiaWadia · 05/07/2015 02:24

Nia is the only one I like.

User24689 · 05/07/2015 05:56

Nia is a Welsh name. I have lots of family in Wales and I'm familiar with it and think it's lovely. haven't come across it outside of Wales though and agree it could be confused with Mia ( though I think it is nicer)

Sophronia · 05/07/2015 10:54

Nia

Luciferbox · 05/07/2015 10:56

Nia, it's a lovely name.

NerrSnerr · 05/07/2015 10:58

Nia. It was on my list for my daughter.

reuset · 05/07/2015 11:20

Nia, then Amity. Not a fan of Brook

reuset · 05/07/2015 11:23

I know an African Nia. It's not just a Welsh name.

barbecue · 05/07/2015 12:26

Nia

IsadoraQuagmire · 05/07/2015 13:51

Amity, it's the most unusual. I know a few Brookes and one quite annoying Nia (short for Nicola)

VixxFace · 05/07/2015 14:10

Nia

BadHenry · 05/07/2015 15:10

Amity, then Nia.

Dislike Brooke - I find it quite harsh and very American sounding.

wigglesrock · 05/07/2015 15:53

Nia by a long way. It's lovely.
Amity just reminds me of the town in Jaws, not necessarily a bad thing but I'd just think you were a massive fan and I think your daughter would probably just use the name Amy.

Brooke - I just don't like .

Twinkie1 · 05/07/2015 15:56

Brooke a bit dare I say it, chavy.

Nia, will always be mistaken for Mia.

Amity just makes me think of horror films but otherwise is quite pretty.

Onedayinthesun · 05/07/2015 16:07

Brooke is such a sophisticated, pretty name totally unfussy and so NOT chavy or common.

Nia - dreadful

Amity - awful

applecatchers36 · 05/07/2015 16:10

Nia - great name

Lovethebubbles · 05/07/2015 16:19

I like Brooke the best

Elbadram · 05/07/2015 16:34

I like Nia best. Amity doesn't sound like a real name to me sorry and I echo that Brooke is quite harsh sounding.

lljkk · 05/07/2015 16:38

Brooke by a huge margin.

Wafflenose · 05/07/2015 20:45

Amity

DramaAlpaca · 05/07/2015 20:49

Nia

Zakken · 05/07/2015 21:37

There's nothing pretty about Brooke - it's a monosyllabic name with hard consonants.

Nia makes me think of Monty Python and the Knights who say "Ni" Grin

Amity is an underused 'virtue' type name which is very pleasant, and can easily be shortened to Amy if she prefers it.

CardinalRed · 05/07/2015 22:22

Amity-ville Horror - nope. It just doesnt sound like a forename. Amity + Surname sounds like an insurance company.
Brooke - surname or Shields, who had terrible PND, so a no on that front too.
Nia - very pretty, slightly unusual
