Charlotte, Annabel or Serena?

These names are on our shortlist - any preference or other suggestions along the same lines?! Thanks

I love Charlotte and Serena! Both on my shortlist too

Annabel was my back up name, along with Arabella. How about lucinda?

I like them all a lot. But I would steer clear of Charlotte as it is so popular and recent royal baby will probably increase it's popularity even further. I think Serena sounds most original.

Any of those would be fine. My personal preference is for Charlotte, which I would use, then Serena, then Annabel, both of which I would be happy to hear as the names of friends. Well done on having such a sound shortlist.

Serena sounds harsh to my ear. Though I like vaguely similar sounding Seraphone, but that might be a little 'out there' possibly

First choice would be Serena, then Annabel then Charlotte.

I like Serena or Selina. Not keen on Annabel or Charlotte. Anna is nice though.

What about:
Beatrice, Bethany, Catriona, Carolyn, Eleanor, Elizabeth, Georgia, Helena, Hannah, Isabel, Johanna, Lydia, Matilda, Rebecca, Susannah, Talia, Theresa, Zara?

I like all 3 of your choices. Others to consider (on the Ella theme your DH was not keen on) are: Eliza or Eloise.

Thanks for the input! I think we're ruling out Charlotte now...I really like Serena but not the possible Reena/Reenie nicknames - so I think Annabel is the current favourite.

From other suggestions, I rather like Georgia and Eliza too. We have several months to decide so let's see :)

Quite like Serena and Annabel. Charlotte is fine but boring IMO.

I have an Annabel (although did go for the non mumsnet approved ending) and she is definitely not frilly. She is awesome, funny and fiery. She is also currently Annabel, not Anna, Belle, Bella or Annie. There was a thread a while ago about shortening it to Nancy and I am trying to plant this idea in her 5 yr old head for when she is older .

Serena by a country mile! I have one so I'm probably biased . We have never come across another and she gets lots of compliments on her name. She's never had a nick name, everyone calls her Serena!

I do like Charlotte but it's pretty popular and am personally not keen on Annabel
