Zachary or Henry?

I thought we were pretty much set on our name for baby. I've always loved Zachary and DH wanted to use Thomas as a middle name after his best friend.

Now Dh insists that his number one favourite name is Henry and if I 'let' him use it we can have Alexander as a middle name (family name from my side) which he previously really disliked but will let me have it if he can have Henry!

There's nothing wrong with Henry; I like it as a name I just don't get the feeling that it's right for DS!

So, Zachary Thomas or Henry Alexander. What do both names make you think of? This is probably a pointless post and will just wait to see what he looks like when he arrives but thought I'd get people's opinions anyway!

I prefer Zachary Thomas but really it's better to decide what you both like best?
Saying that we are using family names for middles so Zachary Alexander would also be nice?

He says Zachary Alexander is too long and I'll class Thomas as a family name as they are like brothers and he doesn't have any other siblings.

Personally, I find them very different in style. I'd go with Zachary Thomas, not keen on Henry at all, sorry.

I prefer Henry Alexander. (And I know more little Zachs than Henrys.)

I think I'm going to keep pushing for Zachary (pun intended!) unless it turns out he looks exactly like a Henry!

Zachary Thomas gets my vote. But I do like the name Henry, I just prefer Zachary and I love Thomas with it.

I have a Zachary so I am a bit biased but it's a great name, much better than Henry

Henry is getting very popular, so I prefer Zachary.

I have 3 Zacharys in my Reception class and they're all naughty - so that's put me off that name. The only Henry's I've taught have been shy and quite sweet. Being a teacher ruins so many names for you!
