Baby coming in a week and can't agree on a girls name

We have managed to come up with a few boys names but just like last time we are really struggling to agree on girls.

The names we currently have are

Abigail
Jessica
Rebecca
Jennifer
Stephanie

We like all these but are not in love with any of them. Hoping to get an idea of what people think of these names, or have any suggestions we might have missed.

We currently have a Chloe if that helps. Thanks!

I like Abigail best.

Susannah?
Juliet?

FraggleHair · 30/06/2015 14:37

Jennifer is definitely my favourite. Jen and Jenny are lovely nicknames.

And there are hardly any little Jennifers around these days as far as I can tell.

WorldsBiggestGrotbag · 30/06/2015 14:40

I love Abigail.

Allalonenow · 30/06/2015 15:00

I like Jessica best, very pretty and Jessie or Jess are nice NN. I think it is more timeless than the other names on your list, which can be pinned to their popular decade.

Jessica is very 2015 actually. I would say its as of its decade as any of the others

Iliveinalighthousewith2friendl · 30/06/2015 15:18

Like
Jessica
Stephanie
Abigail.

Don't like
Jennifer
Rebecca

Other suggestions
Sarah
Megan
Alice
Georgia
Louisa
Laura

FraggleHair · 30/06/2015 15:20

I also like MrsHathaway's suggestions of Susannah and Juliet.

BubGal13 · 30/06/2015 16:03

Love Stephanie, Rebecca and Jessica .

All are feminine but not twee, energetic, pretty and all I know with both names are popular, friendly and pretty.

Great NNs too.

Scattymere · 30/06/2015 16:05

Jessica my complete favourite- don't think it will ever date or fade from popularity followed By Rebecca and Stephanie. None of others.

Allalonenow · 30/06/2015 16:31

Well RedToothBrush that is the beauty of MN: that we can both think what we like, and be free to say it.

Thepurplegiraffe · 30/06/2015 16:46

Thanks all. Stephanie was top of our list for a while last time but somehow fell from favour close to the end. I think I am worried that it might be a bit of a love hate name and that potential dd might grow up hating it.
My current favourites are possibly Abigail and Jessica but I am not at all sure and I think DH prefers Rebecca.
It is a miracle we were able to agree on something last time.
Thanks for the other suggestions, DH has rejected a few of them and her cousins middle name is Juliet!

Before DD was born I had a list of names. When she arrived, none of them seemed right. I found it better to wait a few days and then decide what suited her, but that's just me.

BadHenry · 30/06/2015 17:03

Great list.

The only one I'm not convinced by is Stephanie.. "Steph" is not a great nickname and as you say its a bit marmite (and quite unusual) & she might hate it growing up.

Chloe is lovely BTW.

pinkandsparklytoo · 30/06/2015 17:09

Have you considered Melissa?

LaceyLee · 30/06/2015 17:15

I would go for Rebecca, it's fairly unusual these days and I like the daphne du maurier connection. Also like Becky as a nickname and it is a classic type of name.

Fridgedooropen · 30/06/2015 17:19

Love Rebecca and it's relatively uncommon now, or seems it. Jennifer likewise. How about:
Hannah
Marina
Katrina
Emma
Susannah
Penelope

barbecue · 30/06/2015 17:26

I like all the names. Top three Rebecca, Jennifer and Abigail.

Sophronia · 30/06/2015 17:35

Jennifer is my favourite, followed by Stephanie and Rebecca.

How about...

Sarah
Alison
Laura
Rachel
Louisa
Victoria
Joanna
Caroline
Naomi
Alexandra
Emma
Hannah
Catherine/Katherine
Georgina
Heather
Christina
Amanda

ashesandfire · 30/06/2015 18:00

Like Rebecca a lot. Becca is a lovely nn too.
Sara
Eleanor
Lucy
Rachel
Anna
Amy

cashewnutty · 30/06/2015 19:18

I love Rebecca but am biased as that is DD2's name. Fridgedooropen has also pegged my other 2 DD's names!

Thepurplegiraffe · 30/06/2015 19:43

Thanks everyone, some great names and useful opinions. You have also managed to cover my name, my sisters name, my other sister's middle name and all 3 of my SILs names!
We did actually mention Melissa as a possibility a couple of days ago, less sure about the nn though.

I like Jennifer but not mad on the others.

How about Natalie, Alicia, Erin, Louisa, Faye, Catherine, Meredith, Esther, Rachel, Anna, Josephine, Georgina?

manicinsomniac · 30/06/2015 23:23

Really like them all - they include my name, my sister's name and one of my daughters' names Grin

My favourite is Jessica. Closely followed by Abigail then Rebecca then Stephanie then Jennifer.

Agree with many of the other posters re alternatives. The obvious ones to me (especiall given that you have a Chloe) are:

Amy, Hannah, Laura, Lauren, Joanna, Emma, Leah, Natasha, Rachel and Lucy

Mutteroo · 01/07/2015 01:14

A friend has a Chloe. She's 19 now but her sisters are; Jessica (Jessi), Lucy & Charlotte.
I think all these names are pretty.

How about Alanah, Leonie, Emilia, Anna or Rosa?

Quasilulu · 01/07/2015 01:45

My Melissa is a Lissy
