Jasmine

Bosabosa · 21/06/2015 21:44

My vote goes to Matilda- I love the book though!! And would want my daughter to be as clever as the character! And it can be shortened to Tilly which is pretty. Good luck!

patienceisvirtuous · 21/06/2015 21:44

Jasmine, by a mile.

Wynsey · 21/06/2015 21:44

Hmm that's a difficult one! i prefer Matilda - but only because it was my favourite film! Smile xx

scarletforya · 21/06/2015 21:45

Jasmine is pretty. Matilda is not.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 21/06/2015 21:48

Jasmine. Matilda is tedious, now

TheBobbinIsWound · 21/06/2015 21:48

Matilda.

Jasmine is a "princess" name to me.

Twistedheartache · 21/06/2015 21:49

I like them both but Jasmine less popular - here anyway - it does make me think Disney Princess though? (I have 4yo so lots of Disney Princess everything!)

QOD · 21/06/2015 21:49

Jasmine is beautiful

Sophronia · 21/06/2015 21:50

Jasmine. Matilda is so popular at the moment.

lljkk · 21/06/2015 21:50

I find Matilda very ugly, sorry. Jasmine is okay, very popular around here.

BeautifulStars93 · 21/06/2015 21:51

Lol funny you say that. I have 2 girls and we collect the disney store princess teddies.
a friend told me its a very 'asian name' and it may seem silly to use ..

jasmine

patienceisvirtuous · 21/06/2015 21:52

My niece is Jasmine and she is smart, funny, kind, sassy... So I don't get the princess vibe at all Smile

Babymamamama · 21/06/2015 21:53

I love both. Maybe use one as first and one as middle name? Jasmine slightly ahead for me as the favourite.

MajesticWhine · 21/06/2015 21:54

Matilda

Coffeeinthepark · 21/06/2015 22:09

Strange to be torn when they are so different. Jasmine = flower, Matilda = battle hard. Which would you prefer for her? That's how I would go (and have gone) about choosing

Lovethebubbles · 21/06/2015 22:11

Jasmine. Never liked Matilda

BeautifulStars93 · 22/06/2015 09:13

Jasmine (or even better - Yasmin).

bluewisteria · 22/06/2015 11:32

They are very different! I prefer Matilda or Mathilde. But I think they are quite popular now?

Caillou · 22/06/2015 11:35

What about Yasmin? (But then that's my dd's name :) )

LovelyMummyNo1 · 22/06/2015 13:54

Jasmine!

GerundTheBehemoth · 22/06/2015 14:03

Matilda is OK but Jasmine is a lot nicer IMHO.

TagineKaput · 22/06/2015 14:29

I prefer Matilda
