It depends if you're into nicknames or not. Personally I like the option of shortening a name and then being able to change it as they grow older. Some people don't like them though. I don't think you can shorten Molly or Darcey (is it supposed to have an 'E' in it? I thought it was Darcy) whereas Isabelle could be Izzy or Belle.
Personally I think Isabelle is really pretty.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 20/06/2015 21:45

DI'd say Mollie, But I don't really any which is ironic as I have a Mollie spelled Molly. I fell in love with the name when I watched ghost and stuck with it till I had dd 8 years after. Gone off it now, but she is a Molly and really suits her name, and it is very pretty, so I'm still glad I used it.

Don't like Darcey at all
And despise the name Isabelle. They're everywhere.

Thanks both for your opinions, really helps to hear what others think!!

Darcey Bussell has the 'E' so that's why I was going for that spelling!

I like Molly and Isabelle the best, (although I prefer Isabella to Isabelle)

Not keen on Darcey

manicinsomniac · 20/06/2015 22:12

I love Darcey. I know two (both spelled that way) and they're such gorgeous little girls. They may be why I like the name, though I also like the Darcey Bussell connection.

I also love Isabelle - very elegant and I like Izzy as a cute nn

Molly is nice but nowhere near as nice as the other two, imo.

I think I'd go for Darcey because it's less common than Isabelle

BadHenry · 20/06/2015 22:24

I'm not keen on Darcy (it's a but too modern sounding for my taste). Isabelle and Molly are both fine but not very exciting (if that matters to you).

Have you considered Nancy?

MitzyLeFrouf · 21/06/2015 01:01

Darcey is awful, the Tracy of its time I think (no offence to any Tracys reading)

Isabelle - nice enough I suppose but there are a lot of them out there. And I mean a LOT.

Molly - my favourite of the three.

mrstweefromtweesville · 21/06/2015 01:04

Out of those three, Molly. Please don't use Darcey.
Why not use a Biblical name? They have stood the test of time.
Miriam.
Elizabeth.
Sarah.
Naomi.
