exactly that it's the only name I really like but all I keep getting is 'is it not a girls name' ?

I know one adult male and one baby female Eden.

I would expect a girl.

Eden was always a boys name until that awful US daytime soap.

I know 2, both girls (5,3) until them I'd always thought it to be a boys name. I reckon it's unisex now though.

DH liked it as a boy's name.

I felt Eden was a girl's name, Edan is a boy's name. DH didn't like Edan.

Couldn't agree so scrapped it and went for something else.

Look at DS2 now and shudder at him being called either. So not him.

Don't like it for either gender, sorry but to me it is more suited to a girl.
But that is only my opinion. It's not fact, do if you like it then use it.

Eden is a lovely boy's name.

I've only known male Edens, two of them, one middle-aged and one child. It's a bit tie-dyed, but certainly not that unusual, and not girly.
