Style ideas I Just want something unusual but not weird like North and Apple etc! Problem is all the unusual names are now the common names. I did have Florence and Ruben and have had for years but now they are used a lot I can't use them. I have two friends who have used those names with their children born in the past 2 years. :S very hard

Some good suggestions in there written a few down :)

To be really different, your best bet is to go for names that were popular for your generation or your parents'

For example:

Boys

Stephen
Michael
Paul
Andrew

All lovely names IMO and hardly used on little boys

For girls:

Marion
Mary
Gillian
Sarah
Emma
Vanessa
Flora
Helen

I have never met a little one of any of these, apart from Emma (and only one)

Of the suggested names by OPs above, I know quite a few of:

Tobias
Reuben
Sebastian
Ludo
Willow

Also have a feeling that Daphne may be up-and-coming

so I would suggest avoiding these if popularity is an issue (you've already said it is with the name Reuben)

Enjoy choosing!
