Help on boys name

Opinions on the following for boys name please

Other sons name is quite modern, it's a one syllable name that is often used as a surname so we can't have something too traditional but we also don't want anything too 'out there'

Whilst I chose the name for our son , I'd quite like my OH to choose this one. He has suggested the following ...
Remi
Ziggy
Rohan
Jackson

I've added
Max
Bobbie /Bobby

What do you think?

Tia

I like all of those names. There's a hot young guy in an American TV show named Remi - only heard it on there. Jackson is lovely and reminds me of SOA. I love Bobby, makes me think of a cute little blonde haired and blue eyed wee boy. Smile like Max, but most of the Max's I know are Dogs - sorry!!
Hope you decide soon. We've not even started!! Xx

Thanks for your post. It's really tricky picking names for boys and with first borns name we've made it harder for our selves.

Would appreciate any other views please folks ...

Jackson gets my vote!

Remi - it's ok. Reminds me of the character in House of Cards although might be spelt differently.
Ziggy - really dislike. There is a female character in Vikings called this.
Rohan - meh
Jackson - it's passable although I don't like surname-as-first-names generally.
Max - best out of your list but also the most common
Bobbie /Bobby - would spell it with a "y". It's ok but would probably give him a "full" name eg Robert (which is boring but he might like the options later)

IsItStupid · 03/06/2015 06:59

I would steer clear of Bobbie- this is usually for girls (as a nickname of Roberta). Bobby is nice though, especially if short for Robert- maybe boring but you can just put it on the birth certificate and use Bobby.

Remi is fine.
Ziggy I would avoid, it's unlikely to be taken seriously.
Rohan is fine.
Jackson is fine.
Max is fine (though very popular)

By the way, I don't mean "it's fine" in a nasty way, just that it's a nice, usable name!

I know a Ziggy whose real name is Zach, you could suggest that if you like it?
