Expecting DC 2 in a few weeks, we already have an Edward Thomas nn Ted and don't know what we are having next, girl or boy!

Have decided on May Matilda if it's a girl but can't seem to agree on a boys name. Here are our current top contenders. Which do you prefer? (Using two middle names for both our granddads)

Albert Antony Hugh
GeorgeAntony Hugh
Ronnie Hugh Antony
Rupert Antony Hugh
Arthur Antony Hugh
Eric Antony Hugh

Rupert and then Arthur.

Dislike Eric and Ronnie.

ButEmilylovedhim · 31/05/2015 20:21

I like George best, then Albert.

JasperDamerel · 31/05/2015 20:21

Rupert first.

Albert and Arthur joint second.

Allalonenow · 31/05/2015 20:25

Rupert Antony Hugh is my favourite.

Ronnie is my least favourite.

I also really like Hugh, would you consider that as a first name?

reuset · 31/05/2015 20:31

Arthur or Rupert for first names. Good list though!

Hoodedmoron · 31/05/2015 20:31

Thanks everyone. Allalonenow we might think about Hugh as a first name, maybe should add it to the list for deliberation!

Ronnie is DH's addition to the list but with our surname not being dissimilar to Cray (as in Ronnie and Reggie) I think it should go!

I like Hugh Anthony as the middle names - has more of a run to it

Allthatnonsense · 31/05/2015 20:37

Eric or Arthur

Wishful80smontage · 31/05/2015 20:49

Albert or Arthur best
Do not like Ronnie - I know a baby Reggie don't like that either

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 31/05/2015 21:07

Eric

honeyandfizz · 31/05/2015 21:08

George & Arthur. Hate Eric!

DampAndRotten · 31/05/2015 22:01

Arthur first then Albert.

IanHislopsLawyer · 31/05/2015 22:03

Albert Anthony Hugh. I like it a lot.

Rupert is a bear, Eric is (to me) a Greyhound and Ronnie is a gangster (or a blonde ice maiden in Eastenders!). So definitely Albert.

pilates · 31/05/2015 22:28

George first and then Albert.

Sophronia · 31/05/2015 22:55

Albert Antony Hugh. Would you use a shortened form of Albert? I like both Albie and Bertie.

Hoodedmoron · 31/05/2015 23:00

We really like Bert/Bertie as a nn for Albert.

Thanks for all the replies everyone, it's good to get a quick response from everyone's initial thoughts to the names just to shorten the list a bit more. Sometimes I guess you have to be brutal! Final three for boys I think will be Albert, Arthur and George.

CakeRattleandRoll · 01/06/2015 04:24

I think you've picked the best ones for your final 3. My favourite is George.

CordeliaFrost · 01/06/2015 10:57

From your final three, I'd say Albert or Arthur.

I have never been keen on George.

Marisola · 01/06/2015 13:04

Ronnie is not really a name - it's short for Ronald, but you could have Ronan or even Roland which would take it further away from the Kray link.

I prefer Antony and Hugh to all the first names on your list, so no much help, sorry!

FatSwan · 01/06/2015 13:19

George, Albert, and Arthur are my favourites.

wesH · 02/06/2015 10:09

go for albert george or arthur

QuestioningStuff · 02/06/2015 10:20

I know a Ted with a brother Rupert - all anyone thinks when introduced to them is: oh. Two bears!

akorda · 02/06/2015 14:40

George, Eric and Albert (nn Bertie. Such a cute nickname! Not Albie. Seem to be loads around at the moment)

aoife24 · 02/06/2015 15:17

Oh Rupert, you don't see that often, I love it.

myneighbourtotoro2 · 02/06/2015 17:11

Rupert definitely . Love Hugh as a mn as well
