Struggling for DS2 name

We have a Wilfred (which I read on this board the other day is a MN name?!) often shortened to Wilf. Any suggestions for a sibling name? I liked Gus (Angus) but DH has changed his mind on it.

i really like Augustus

BathshebaDarkstone · 31/05/2015 14:59

It's Anglo-Saxon, so Aethelred?

Whatabout · 31/05/2015 15:19

I like Augustus but baby is due in August / September and that feels a bit odd.

I like the traditional yet unusual names, Arthur and theodore are just too popular for us.

Howard

Hi what sort of name are you looking for? Traditional/unique/trendy.

What about
Wilfred & Archie
Wilfred & Christian
Wilfred & Gabriel
Wilfred & Jacob
Wilfred & Levi
Wilifed & George
Wilfred & Angus

Whatabout · 31/05/2015 17:10

Traditional buT not popular, that's what we went for with Wilf though it seems to be becoming more popular! I quite like silas, Seth and Ezra but DH less keen.

Albert
Humphrey
Edward

Whatabout · 31/05/2015 17:42

I do like Bert, it goes really well, but it just seems so popular. Am I silly wanting a unique-ish name?

OP posts:
PunkAssMoFo · 31/05/2015 17:43

Bruce
Hugh/Hugo
Bertram

Whatabout · 31/05/2015 17:44

Bertram is a contender but DH has gone off it a bit.

OK, traditional but not popular, leaning towards Old English:

Conrad
Carl
Edgar
Edmund
Godwin
Harold

Ruedewakening · 02/06/2015 13:17

Edwin?

PebblesBamBam · 02/06/2015 13:42

Hector?

Ormally · 02/06/2015 14:13

Rory?
Franklin?
Gabriel?

akorda · 02/06/2015 14:44

Agree with op above that Edgar is a brilliant name! And would go with Wilf well.

Wilf and Christopher
Wilf and Leon
Wilf and Stanley
Wilf and Robert (nn Bob) I have only met one baby Robert
Wilf and Gilbert/Herbert nn Gil/Herbie
