I love both these names but don't think we can use them together. What do others think?

Lovely as long as your last name doesn't end in a.

pinkje · 24/05/2015 14:06

Too much like Tolstoy

VashtaNerada · 24/05/2015 14:08

Yes, Tolstoy was my first thought too! I wouldn't for that reason.

MrsHathaway · 24/05/2015 14:16

Yes, I thought Anna Karenina too.

I do like Anna as a first name (not pronounced as in Frozen) although I like Annabel, Anneliese etc even more.

Corinne has different stresses so Anna Corinne flows quite differently and doesn't have the obvious literary connection.

Thanks. That's what I was thinking but wanted to check as Anna Karenina prob sounds quite different inRussian but to me is too alike. Any other suggestions to go with Anna. We have a short surname so more than two syllables sounds good. Owing to due date i can only think of Christmas as mn but I must be having a funny turn.

Anna Christabel
Anna Coralie
Anna Clementine

elephantmarch · 24/05/2015 14:27

Clementine is sweet

Anna Natalia?
May be less kooky than Christmas. But we're not Russian

I think it's fine. It's not as important as the combination of first name and surname. The fact that it has a slightly similar sound to the book character wouldn't bother me.

Having said that, if she's going to be born around Christmastime, then Christabel and Clementine are really nice suggestions. They aren't in-your-face Christmassy, but there's a seasonal allusion.

mrstweefromtweesville · 24/05/2015 14:57

Both nice names, like OP I wouldn't use them together.

Anna Rebekah.

pinkje · 24/05/2015 15:21

Madeline ?

DownWithThisTypeOfThing · 24/05/2015 15:29

Agree it's very similar to Anna Karenina - not necessarily a bad thing depending on your take on the character. Too much "tragic heroine" for my liking. I do like it though.

I like all three of DampandRotten 's suggestions.

prepperpig · 24/05/2015 15:33

You can't call her Anna Corinna. I thought this was a joke thread.

Marisola · 24/05/2015 15:45

Anna Carola for another Christmas reference (not what you asked for, but we're on a roll here).

Sophronia · 24/05/2015 17:31

Anna Christina
Anna Caroline or Anna Carolina

CakeRattleandRoll · 25/05/2015 14:59

I like your suggestion of Anna Natalia, OP. Especially with the Christmas due date.

ZenNudist · 25/05/2015 15:07

Not together for literary reasons. I like anna or Annabel also Ciara/Keira which could work as well. Corin/Corinne also nice.

How about
Anna Ciara
Annabel Corinne
