Love it

carbolicsoaprocked · 12/05/2015 22:33

I think Jim is fine for a nn, but would use James, mainly to give the kid a choice. I hate the main nn for my first name so really pleased my parents gave me the choice.

strawberrydaquari · 12/05/2015 22:35

I really like it

timelyreminder · 12/05/2015 23:09

I like it

Valsoldknickers · 12/05/2015 23:17

Yes, I like it.

Ikeameatballs · 12/05/2015 23:21

I know one under five. I really like it but would def give James as a full name on BC.

CointreauVersial · 12/05/2015 23:27

My friend has a Jim (he's 11 now). Nice name, suits him.

He was nicknamed Baby Gym for a while after he was born. Hmm

sweetpeame · 13/05/2015 08:06

Not a fan, it's a bit man-in-his-60's for me. Absolutely fine as a nn with James as full name. Interestingly there was a Jimmy in my DD's nursery for a while, he'd be about 4 now.

IvoryMadonna · 13/05/2015 14:38

Jim is one of multiple options for a boy/man named James. It makes a nice change from the rather wet Jamie.

Sophronia · 13/05/2015 23:48

I like it with James as the full name

ch1134 · 14/05/2015 20:29

Cool.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 14/05/2015 20:31

Love it.

Viviennemary · 14/05/2015 20:33

I think it's awful. Sorry but it's an old man's name.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 14/05/2015 20:38

It's not an old mans name around here. It's cool teen name x 2.

switchitoff · 14/05/2015 20:40

Oooh I love it.

And if you have another DS in the future, will you call him Bob? I'm really tickled by the idea of little brothers called Jim and Bob.

jellyandsoup · 14/05/2015 20:54

Love it, fab name. I think I would go with James on be too

pelicancrossing · 14/05/2015 20:55

Brilliant name :) Makes me think of Jim Royle, but I still love it! Go for it, it's normal, but a bit different.

reuset · 14/05/2015 21:55

Nice, but all the Jims I've ever known have been James. I'd use James

Mistlewoeandwhine · 15/05/2015 09:38

I really like it.
