Brother or sister for Ben

I'm really struggling to think of names, we have a DS called Ben so can't have a name that's too out there but I don't really want massively popular either.

Names I quite like (but not love) Pippa, Zara, Eve, Emma. Hugo, Theo, Lucas, Elliot

DH likes, Lily, Ella, Chloe, Lucy & Ellie or Jack & Daniel.

Anyone got any suggestions? Middle names will either be Margaret or Laura or William or George after family. Thanks

My Ben has James, Toby and Laura as siblings.
Other girl combinations I've heard are Anna, Caitlin, Sophie and Ruby.
For boys, Daniel, Eliott, Jamie and Josh

Zoe. I love that name bur friends beat me to it. It goes along the lines of Zara on your list and Chloe on DHs list.

And Nathaniel (Nate) for a boy. Along the lines of Daniel but more interesting I think.

BlueChampagne · 11/05/2015 16:15

Ben, Anthony and Elizabeth are a trio I know.

Lucy, Daniel and Zara are the ones I happen to like best from your lists.

wonkylegs · 11/05/2015 16:32

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 11/05/2015 19:58

Among my acquaintances Ben's sibling is called:

Bartholomew, Daniel, James, Matthew.

Amy, Autumn, Imogen, India, Nancy, Sara.

Bens I know have siblings:

Tom and Sam
Max
Alice
Annabel, Melanie and William

I think Ben and Emma go really well together. Emma used to be very popular, but is now on a "downward" trend and will really stand out among the many Evies, Islas and Sophias! Lovely name!

Tootaboo · 13/05/2015 09:56

Thanks everyone, some lovely suggestions will run them past DH later (although he isn't particularly fussed about talking of names, he thinks it will be perfectly obvious when it arrives)

I really like Ruby but can't use it, when I pair it with our surname it's cockney slang for curry and that's all I think of! My nephew is Nathan so can't use Nathaniel either. I really like Zoe & Amy.

Verelab, I really like Emma, I like how classic it is but not overly popular like Emily, Ella etc. It was also DH's Grans name so it's very special to him for that reason (I never did meet her). Unfortunately DH had a massive crush and was slightly heartbroken over a girl called Emma so that has put him off a little as he thinks it would be weird to use the name of an ex (from either of us)

I love Ben and Chloe. My dd is Chloe and I would love to call our next dc Ben if it's a boy but it wouldn't go with our surname sadly.

RickOShay · 13/05/2015 13:21

Really like Ben. What about

Anna

Clara

Iona

Rose

Toby

Louis

Joel

Edward

WD41 · 13/05/2015 13:23

Holly
Bill

AGirlCalledBoB · 13/05/2015 13:30

A Ben I know has Hannah, Jade and Danny.

Ikeameatballs · 13/05/2015 13:40

I like Emma with Ben but tbh I think Emma Murray is quite hard to say aside from the ex issue.

Susannah Margaret
Nina Margaret
Josephine Laura
Daisy Laura (Daisy is nn for Margaret so honours both family members)
Louisa Margaret

Edward George (nn Ted)
Frederick William (nn Fred)
Robert
Angus

Tootaboo · 13/05/2015 13:54

I really like Holly but there's that Ben & Holly kids program so might be a bit much. I really like Edward & Louisa from Ikeas list and I liked Iona, Rose & Toby from Ricks list.

Our last name is proving quite difficult with some names they dont flow properly and sound quite clumsy.

I know a Ben and Holly and have never heard that connection mentioned. If you really like it I wouldn't let it put you off.

Tootaboo · 13/05/2015 15:57

With our surname Murray, do you think names ending in 'y' sound weird with it. Like Holly Murray rather than something like Amelia Murray which flows better? some names sound clumsy with it
