Boys name for DS2- stuck

SaBearOz · 11/05/2015 03:32

We are expecting DS2 in 8 weeks and DS1 and DD were easy to name as we just used my favourite names (that over the period of 8 months my DH came to adore as well).
Our issue is that our surname is the most common surname beginning with S and I had a very common first name with 5 others in my year so want something a little bit different but not something people (namely parents and inlaws) will think is made up.
Our DS1 has a biblical name but not a popular one (think whale!) and DD has a unisex name (think famous ballerina now TV star).
The names that we like so far are:
Nathaniel (nn Nate)
Edward (nn Ned)
Elijah (nn Eli)
DH loved Daniel but I just feel it's too plain considering our surname.
We are living in a country where all names virtually get shortened which is why we have to think of NN's as well although I know as they get older their friends may change this.
To add to the limitations I would prefer the name to not start with the same letter of the alphabet as the other children and dog, so not J, D or T as I already call them by the wrong name.
Thanks for any suggestions

I like Nathaniel from your list the most.
Do you like Linus or Rufus?

Love Nathaniel and Edward.

How about Magnus? It means " the greatest".

Thanks for the suggestions- unfortunately some are already taken by close family and close friends. Is Linus the name of a character from Snoopy? It's what came to mind when I saw it and unfortunately Rufus is to much of a dog's name around here. Nate is my favourite name but DH isn't sure so I will give him the other suggestions listed here and see what comes out
