For a boy we are are on Levi or Deon

For a girl we are pretty stuck we have
Aaliyah which I love. It's not popular in UK
Arianna (but everyone says the singer which I don't really know of)

I'm open to suggestions I want something unique & not too popular no
Lily
Maisie
Gracie
Ella
Olivia etc

I like Levi and prefer Dion and Ariana to Deon and Arianna.

How about Alberta?

Levi is awesome.

CrispyFern · 10/05/2015 20:07

I like Levi.
I like Aaliyah.

Erm, how about Amira? Amara? Malina? Malinka?

CrispyFern · 10/05/2015 20:09

Serafina?

Lunastarfish · 10/05/2015 20:13

I like Levi

I expect your friends are referring to Ariana Grande (are you pronouncing the name as Ari- anna or Ari- arna?). My friend called her daughter Ariana this weekend.

I've come across quite a few Aaliyahs in London. I prefer the spelling Aliyah as it isn't so much like the singer Aaliyah

CrispyFern · 10/05/2015 20:17

Yes I prefer Aliyah or even Alia actually.

ButterflyOfFreedom · 10/05/2015 22:13

Aaliya is pretty popular in the UK actually, at least it certainly was a few years ago.

Deon and Levi are both awful.

Ariana is nice.

Love Aaliyah. Think it's relatively popular here - top 150 or so? 200 maybe? I know an Aliya if you wanted a simplified spelling. Aaliyah shouldn't cause anybody any problems though.

Quite like Arianna too and wouldn't make the automatic leap to Arianna Grande.

Ariana is lovely and different. Aaliyah is pretty popular I thought

siblingproblemsaplenty · 20/05/2015 09:42

Aaliyah is nice but when I hear it I just think of the singer. May be just my generation.
