Name for DS3

I woke in the night with a feeling that DS3 should be called Daniel. I'm about 21 weeks with him at the moment. I don't know if I'd had a dream or what but we have been a bit stuck for names that we both like. DH wants to compile a shortlist and then wait a while but he is Ok for Daniel to go on it. Anyone know if its popular or old fashioned at the moment? I want DS3 to have a name that is not common (as in frequently used rather than name snobbery!) but not too obscure.

It's a classic timeless name. Not heard of many round here, but it may suddenly come back into fashion. I love it, and it would have been v high on our list but DH's best friend's son was a Daniel.

I would consider it a very nice classic name, suitable for all ages. It was ranked 2nd most used boy's name in 1996, but has been declining in use since to 8th in 2008 and 22nd in 2013, so I doubt it's suddenly going to jump in popularity.

I agree that it's classic - neither trendy nor old-fashioned.
