Help - ever changing short list

1 week to go and the short list keeps changing. We have 2 DS with uncommon 'cool' (just outside top 100) names. Doesn't matter if DC3 has more popular name but would like to avoid really popular (top 10). Like Evie/Evangeline for a girl but seems there are zillions around at present. So.

Boys: Dylan, Milo, (both similar type names to DS 1&2), Laurie (DH family name), Otis, Lysander, Luca,

Girls: Martha, Ottilie, Darcey, Clara,

Boys' names particularly hard as don't really love any of them..

Yes, I only hear Ottilie on mumsnet, think all the DH's veto it!

soot - you have suggested one of my DS's names and the 2nd choice for the other DS so you have my tastes nailed!

Not worried about the tweenie connection and the Dr Who connection is seen only as a positive in this house but I do think it might mean Clara becomes more popular.

Only hearing Ottilie on mumsnet also, think the DHs are vetoing it!

I actually know an Ottilie Wink. I don't much like it though, sounds too fussy to me.

I don't think Tweenies is as much of a thing at the moment anyway, I think the DW connection is fine but it did send Amelia to number one for several years out of seemingly nowhere!

Ha youmake I'm sure they exist, but just think they must be more unusual than the baby names threads would suggest.

Hope that list helped a bit then, mamaslatts. I also love Kit for a boy. Has Arlo been mentioned, similar to Milo but think I slightly prefer it.

Update! I had a boy! Still haven't decided, maybe Dylan but have also thrown Noah into the mix now too! Is this super popular at present?

congratulations!

What about Archie, maybe as a nickname of Archibald? Dylan is a good, strong name, too. I can't help re popularity (in part because I never let that bother me when considering a name).

We have Milo, Dylan and Noah on our boys name list - we must have similar tastes!
Absolute favourite is Milo but its a bit similar to our dd's name so we can't use it, so I would go for that if you can!
Other names on our boys list are Dexter and Felix
