Lucy or Bella for short. Sister for James (Jamie).

Which do you prefer?

Lucinda, isobella etc too common these days

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 24/04/2015 20:46

I prefer Lucinda

Alexandpea · 24/04/2015 20:51

Thanks for your replies. I know Isabella's popular at the moment, but didn't know Lucinda is too.

DH also likes Beatrice but I think it's a bit pretentious (probably unfairly).

Isabella etc is far too common these days
Hopefully makes more sense!!

SweetAndFullOfGrace · 24/04/2015 20:57

I don't like girls' names that end in 'a', I think they sound a but weak.

SweetAndFullOfGrace · 24/04/2015 20:58

*bit

Sigh

Alexandpea · 24/04/2015 20:58

Think lucinda is really pretty

BossWitch · 24/04/2015 21:00

I prefer Isabella.

Lucinda is a bit try hard in my opinion. Also I think it sounds like lucifer!

Allthatnonsense · 24/04/2015 21:05

Lucinda

applecatchers36 · 24/04/2015 21:06

Bowlersarm · 24/04/2015 21:07

stargirl1701 · 24/04/2015 21:10

Isabella.

timelyreminder · 24/04/2015 21:12

I like Lucy and Isabella, but not Lucinda.

Rhubarbgarden · 24/04/2015 21:14

Lucinda. So bored of Isabella.

Shockers · 24/04/2015 21:51

Lucinda.

I really wanted to be called Lucinda when I was a child. I still love it, although I like my name too.

stormyboots · 25/04/2015 00:26

I can't see the beauty in the name Isabella anymore now it's been done to death, Lucinda is like a breath of fresh air in comparison

Amy106 · 25/04/2015 03:41

Lucinda is lovely with Lucy for short.

Sleepyfergus · 25/04/2015 04:32

Dd2 is Isabella (nn Izzie). We live in a large Scottish city and I've only come across 1 other which I've never actually met, just know of (she's a friends daughters bf).

I kept reading after we named her that everywhere was over-run with Isabellas, but have never found this to be the case.

I think Lucinda is also pretty, prob more unusual than Isabella.

If I had to choose, I'd go with Isabella but I am bias!! Smile

IsadoraQuagmire · 25/04/2015 13:24

They're both lovely. I know a Lucinda, she always goes by her full name.

looki · 25/04/2015 13:42

Lucinda. I really like it. Weary of Isabel and all it's variations.

reuset · 25/04/2015 14:47

Isabella. The dated Linda stands out too prominently for me in Lucinda. Though both Lucindas I know never shorten their name.

IvoryMadonna · 25/04/2015 14:56

Lucinda can choose to be Lucy or Cindy.
Isabella can choose to be Izzy or Bella.
