Lucy or Bella for short. Sister for James (Jamie).

DH also likes Beatrice but I think it's a bit pretentious (probably unfairly).

I really wanted to be called Lucinda when I was a child. I still love it, although I like my name too.

I can't see the beauty in the name Isabella anymore now it's been done to death, Lucinda is like a breath of fresh air in comparison

Dd2 is Isabella (nn Izzie). We live in a large Scottish city and I've only come across 1 other which I've never actually met, just know of (she's a friends daughters bf).

I kept reading after we named her that everywhere was over-run with Isabellas, but have never found this to be the case.

I think Lucinda is also pretty, prob more unusual than Isabella.

If I had to choose, I'd go with Isabella but I am bias!!

They're both lovely. I know a Lucinda, she always goes by her full name.

Lucinda. I really like it. Weary of Isabel and all it's variations.

Isabella. The dated Linda stands out too prominently for me in Lucinda. Though both Lucindas I know never shorten their name.

Lucinda can choose to be Lucy or Cindy.
Isabella can choose to be Izzy or Bella.
