For baby due in July? I FINALLY have a shortlist of two :)

Her middle name is Anita and she has a brother called Edward and a sister called Flora :) which do you prefer?

I'm not keen on Imogen as being one of these names that sounds like you're meant to be posh but think it goes better with your other names than Mabel which sounds like granny chic and old wifie to me!

I only know one Imogen ( who is in her 20s and lovely ) and she is called Imo

Imogen is nice enough. I don't like Mabel at all. It's very trendy old lady name and will date horribly. Also I think it sounds a bit silly somehow - hard to put my finger on why!

Sophronia · 16/04/2015 10:18

Mabel is lovely. I've never been keen on Imogen.

Notso · 16/04/2015 10:34

I love both am so glad you changed your mind.

Imogen Mabel Anita or Mabel Imogen Anita.

I think Imogen wins but only just. I am really on the fence with these two.

MehsMum · 16/04/2015 10:43

Imogen is twee, middle aged, snooty and every Imogen I've met are these and very bitchy.
Ouch!
I know a lovely Imogen and think it's a really pretty name.
Less sure about Mabel.

redautumnleaves · 16/04/2015 10:58

Mabel is gorgeous.
Imogen is a totally different feel, still ok but isn't as pretty as Mabel.

Jackieharris · 16/04/2015 11:00

Imo Imo!

EeekNumber4 · 16/04/2015 11:28

Mabel (I'm biased!)

Every Imogen I've met has been a very sweet little girl. Most of who have become delightful women. The other is only 5, but still sweet.

Imogen! Very lovely name and sounds great with your existing DC names (which I also love)

Mabel does sound nice if I think of it out of context, but actually just reminds me of old ladies and so conjures up a bit of a drab, dreary, dowdy vibe.

LeonoraFlorence · 17/04/2015 14:06

I like both but Imogen is my favourite of the two :)

IsadoraQuagmire · 17/04/2015 15:34

Mabel, it's lovely!
