Eva
Ingrid

Middle Name either Jennifer, Jenna or Lucy

Boys:
Isaac

afghanda · 13/04/2015 13:47

Of your girls names, I only like Ingrid (although Eva is nice too, but very over used at the moment).

From your boys names, I like Jonathan.

juneau · 13/04/2015 13:52

Girls:
Antonia - I like it. People will probably shorten it to Toni - do you like that?
Piper - I don't like this. Sarah Palin has a Piper - enough said.
Cleo - I like it.
Eva - Very popular along with Ava and Evie. There will be many others
Ingrid - people will ask if you have Swedish heritage.

Middle Name either Jennifer, Jenna or Lucy

Boys:
Isaac - Its a bit biblical for me and popular currently.
Jonathan - am neutral on this. Will inevitably be shortened to Jon.
Samuel - very, very popular currently.
Toby - I like this one best.
Theo - This is okay and I don't know any boys called Theo.

Middle Name John, unless Jonathon is a first name in which case it will probably be Henry

Sophronia · 13/04/2015 14:07

I like Antonia Lucy, Ingrid Jennifer, Jonathan Henry and Samuel John.

Not keen on Piper, Isaac, Toby or Theo, Eva is lovely but so popular, and Cleo is ok.

squoosh · 13/04/2015 14:09

Antonia - like Antonia but don't like Toni
Piper - Terrible.
Cleo - ADORE
Eva - liked it a lot till it became uber popular
Ingrid - hefty milk maid from the Alps.

Isaac - I like it and love Ike as a nickname
Jonathan - 1980's estate agent. Shifty.
Samuel - good solid name
Toby - okay but a bit babyish
Theo - great name

shakemysilliesout · 13/04/2015 14:11

No to antonia, CLeo and Eva

Also not mad on theo or Toby.

Love Jonathan, lucy, Jennifer, Samuel

Guin1 · 13/04/2015 16:49

Antonia - OK. Could use nn Annie if you didn't like Toni.
Piper - Not keen on surname-for-names.
Cleo - Don't like.
Eva - Lovely but popular.
Ingrid - My favourite from your list. Would use it with mn Jennifer.

Isaac - OK
Jonathan - Like, esp with nn Jonty (although that is v posh apparently??)
Samuel - Like
Toby - Really like, but probably would use Tobias on bc, with mn John.
Theo - Really like, although prefer with mn Henry, or Theodore John.

IvoryMadonna · 13/04/2015 16:53

Antonia - my first choice by a mile
Cleo - I quite like, but would spell Clio after the Muse
Eva - much too common right now, will date badly
Ingrid - don't like much
Piper - dreadful

Jonathan - I like a lot
Isaac - I quite like
Theo - I like, but it's a bit too popular atm
Samuel - don't like much
Toby - don't like

sweetpeame · 13/04/2015 17:36

Girls:
Antonia - quite nice, don't like the possible nn's though
Piper - awful
Cleo - ok
Eva - love it, even though it's popular
Ingrid - fine, sounds as if you have Scandinavian roots but that's fine

Boys:
Isaac - really like it
Jonathan - ditto, due a comeback I'm sure
Samuel - so, so, might like it more if it wasn't my manager's name!
Toby - very cute for a boy, fine for a man also
Theo - really like it, would use nn Ted if I was using it

manicinsomniac · 13/04/2015 17:57

Girls:
Antonia - quite like it. Toni is quite cute too
Piper - really like it
Cleo - like it
Eva - really like it
Ingrid - really like it

I think Jennifer works best with all those names and my favourite choice would probably be Piper Jennifer

Boys:
Isaac - love it
Jonathan - quite like it
Samuel - quite like it
Toby - love it
Theo - really like it

Isaac John would probably be my first choice or Theo John if I wanted something less popular.

Alternatives:
Clementine, Astrid, Aphra, Juno, Willow, Ocean, Romilly, Rowena, Ramona, Zia, Giselle, Harper, Cecily

Fraser, Angus, Felix, Teo, Jonty, Solomon, Noah, Elijah, Jesse, Elliot

RL20 · 13/04/2015 18:49

From your girls names I like Cleo and Eva. I also like Ava and Isla too Smile.

From your boys names I like Theo. It's on my boys names list too Smile.

TempsPerdu · 14/04/2015 13:35

Antonia - quite like it, but strongly dislike Toni. Annie is much better!
Piper - not for me - too surnamey/try-hard Z-list celeb
Cleo - love this, but I'm another one who would spell it Clio.
Eva - massively overdone at the moment.
Ingrid - adore Astrid, but can't warm to this for some reason. Think it might be the 'gr' sound, which I find harsh.

Isaac - like it, but current popularity would put me off a bit
Jonathan - OK. Still sounds a bit dated to me, but I'm sure it'll come back.
Samuel - bland
Toby - love Tobias but find Toby too cutesy and insubstantial on its own
Theo - OK - a bit meh

My picks would be Clio Jennifer (second choice Antonia Lucy) and either Isaac or Tobias John.

Lunastarfish · 14/04/2015 14:35

Antonia - my favourite ever name! (DP won't let me use it Sad)
Piper - I like it but I liked Charmed!
Cleo - pleasant
Eva - it's quite popular albeit pretty
Ingrid - is a 50 year old Norweigan

Isaac - I don't understand the rise in popularity but Zac is cool as a nn
Jonatan - nice and underused. I like Jonny as a nn
Samuel - nice but popular (you may have guessed by now I'm not a huge fan of popular names)
Toby - I love it. I would use that for any future son (if DP would let me....)
Theo - nice but i'd register as Theodore

onceuponavino · 14/04/2015 18:09

Girls:
Antonia- not a fan but that's just a personal thing- I immediately connect it to an awful girl I was at school with!
Piper- love this..definitely comes from being an Orange is the New Black Fan! Also love Piper Perabo
Cleo- immediately think of car.
Eva- really like it, prefer Ava but love Eva too.
Ingrid- it's ok, definitely growing on me!

Middle Name either Jennifer, Jenna or Lucy

Boys:
Isaac- i like it but it's very popular where I live
Jonathan - fave from your list- love jonny
Samuel- nice but again popular
Toby- ok but I just know too many dog Tobys!
Theo - really like it

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 14/04/2015 19:10

I have only ever met one Ingrid so nice to have something original and for me it works with all the potential second names!

I have a fondness for the name Piper but of all the girl's names you mention I like Eva best then Cleo then Ingrid and Piper jointly.

At the moment I like good old Sam(uel) best out of the boy's names.

musicinspring1 · 14/04/2015 21:21

I only like Eva and Piper from your girls list. I like all of the boys names but my favourites are Isaac and Jonathan. I'm not bothered if a name is popular - they are popular because they're nice and I'd rather have a nice name than an unusual one! Grin Grin Grin (imo!!)

kwerty · 14/04/2015 21:47

Piper is terrible.

rockinrobintweet · 14/04/2015 22:08

my favs:

Piper Lucy
Toby Jonathan
(I'd actually use Tobias as full name though)

swimmerforlife · 15/04/2015 01:06

Girls:
Antonia - Okay, perfectly good name but not my cup of tea. But Toni is an awful nm - so 80s/90s!
Piper - Love it, was on my shortlist but we had a DS
Cleo - Ooh, I really like it.
Eva - Alright.
Ingrid - Awful, it's so dated.

Boys:
Isaac - Not fussed either way.
Jonathan - Really dislike it, though I like Jonty as a nn
Samuel - Awesome name but then I am biased.
Toby - I like it.
Theo - I really don't like it but generally I am not a fan of these 'granny chick' names.

johendy · 15/04/2015 06:50

I'd go for Piper Lucy and Theo John from your lists.

Auntieveronica · 15/04/2015 06:56

Dislike piper. Like ingrid

nooka · 15/04/2015 07:13

I like Jonathon Henry best and then Isaac John.

I don't really like any of your girls names though, sorry! I do quite like Jenna as a middle name, but I don't think it goes with the first names except maybe Ingrid.

Allalonenow · 15/04/2015 07:31

Really like Ingrid and Antonia a lot.

Piper is my least favourite.

Jonathan is fab and love Jonty as nn.

Wishful80smontage · 15/04/2015 08:25

Girls:
Antonia - Like it
Piper - Ok
Cleo - Really dislike it
Eva - Soooooooooo popular
Ingrid - Really like it very unusual strong name

Boys:
Isaac - Dislike
Jonathan - if jonty is the nn then really like but if not it's just ok
Samuel- ok bit boring
Toby - ok feels like its a child's name and not a grown up's but I only know little boys with this name no one older so that might just be me!
Theo - Dislike

fionadal · 17/04/2015 20:22

I like Samuel or Jonathan. Both lovely, classic names. Jonathan has lots of great potential for nicknames and is really unusual these days. Sam/uel is just a lovely name!

Please avoid Toby and Theo! There are so around at the moment, and I'm not keen on either name anyway I'm afraid.

I just don't like the sound of Isaac.

Good Luck!

PeggySusan · 17/04/2015 20:26
