Just wondered what you all think of the name Aoife for a girl. We are in Southern Ireland so it won't be a problem in knowing how to say the name. Just would love to hear what you all think of it!!!

Would you choose Aoife over Anna??

Not much to choose between them although I prefer Anna. Growing up I knew a million Aoife's and it seems equally popular now 30+ years later! But if that doesn't bother you (and my own DD has a popular name so it didn't bother me either) then go for it, it's a perfectly fine name.

Anna is prettier imo. Aoife is still nice though

Yes Aoife is very popular this is something I think about but its difficult to get naems htat go with our very long surname so we need simple short type names. Aoife and Anna are not a million miles away from each other I know lol just finding it hard to choose. Why did nobody tell me choosing name would be SOOO difficult..

Irish names are lovely I wanted to use Niamh for dd it's probably my fave. Out of the 2 I definitely prefer Aoife

Ireland is knee deep in Aoifes and has been for the past 40 years. I'd go for Anna.

Niamh is another my niece is called Niamh so can't use that one!!!
It's difficult to find a name that both me and my OH like.

Orla is also taken as is Aisling!! We are limited!!! Lol we also don't mind Kate.
