Smile I'm 17 weeks pregnant with baby no 3 I currently have two boys both with unusual but not uncommon names. My first boy is called Levi and my second is called jaxon so like I said unusual but not really 'out there!'
My DH and I would like to go along the same route with the next baby we need a girl and a boys name as we aren't finding out the sex.
Would love fresh inspiration
TIA

I'm in same position. My little boy is called Fletcher. Not too wacky but not too common. I only ever had that name when prego with him.
Now I don't where to start. My little boy likes kitty for a girl but I'm not sure. It is such a responsibility!!!!ConfusedConfused

our ds1 is Alexander (v. common but its a family name), our ds2 is Cornelius (v. uncommon but again a family name). personally I prefer bringing older names back into use.

Look at historical names - there are plenty that are infrequently used nowdays, so for example:

Dorothea
Ethelberta
Nester
Livia
Claudia
Valeria
Perdita
Flavia
Aurelia
Cornelia
Aelia
Ariadne
Theodora
Dagmar
Thyra
Gyda
Gunhild

Beowulf
Athelred
Piers
Ethelwulf
Constantine
Culen
Claudius
Valentine
Tiberius
Harald
Conrad
Gad
Magnus
Joachim

Levi is from the bible and jaxon means god has been gracious we would like another biblical name or a name that has a spiritual meaning. But quite a lot of biblical names are the Matthews, Jacobs, Noah's, calebs etc etc and not my cup of tea.
I like really old names like Bertie and Teddy and Sidney but my absolute fave is Rocco but hubby thinks it's a dogs name ??????
We can't agree and it is sooooo hard! Took us a g e s to choose the name Jaxon and that was only because I liked Jax and my DH agreed on Jaxon but we call him jax.
Thanx for all your suggestions there are a few in there I hadn't thought of but still not one I feel that settledness with! If you get me!

iniquity · 27/03/2015 21:28

Zechariah or Maliki.. Jonas ...Elijah... Abraham.. Soloman

Girls
Naomi... Nadia... Miriam

LovelyBranches · 28/03/2015 00:51

I love Eden for a girl. I could see that name fitting with Levi and Jax too.

How about Ezra for a boy? Micah, Reuben, Jonah and Ezekiel might also fit.

Tunna · 28/03/2015 07:07

Gabriel - Gabe

Raphael or Rafael - can be shortened to Rafe or Rafa

Nicodemus (friend of Jesus) - shortened to Nico

Dreamingofchocolate2 · 28/03/2015 07:33

Ooh liked Ezra and Nico they are cool.
I like Tamar for a girl.
My hubby wanted Abraham... But I couldn't send my child off to school with that name!! (No offence to any one who's child is called Abraham! Just not my cup of tea!) lol
Thanx for all your ideas esp the historical ones I may look deeper into that.
I've always liked Agnes and Edith what are your thoughts too oldie??
