Middle name for Olive?

Hello Mumsnetters!
I've had my boys names picked out for longer than I care to remember but have struggled to find a girls name that I liked.
The original name that I would have liked for a girl was chosen by my cousin for her DD a few months ago (and spelled horrifically wrong too)
So after wracking my brains and various books etc for a new name I really do love Olive, but can't for the life of me think of a middle name to go with it!
If it comes to it I'd be happy for Olive not to have a middle name but DH insists!
(we don't know what we're having yet!)
Suggestions please? Smile Smile

I like to think the best middle names are based on the first name of a loved one. Do you not have a grandmother on either side with a name that would suit?

For that reason, I would love to use Daphne or Sitara as a middle name if we had a girl.

We're finding it so hard to find a first name that we agree on, that there's no way we'd trawl through the name books and rack our brains to agree on a new middle name that we didn't have to!

Olive Vivienne
Olive Marguerite
Olive Juliet
Olive Evangeline
Olive Valentina

It depends on length and sound of surname too obviously, but I echo what previous poster vt82 said, go with a close friends or family name , even if that means a second surname to honour someone? Your maiden name or another surname from previous generation.

Unless you love the middle name as much as the first name I think it should only be there for a reason no point in just a "filler" name that means nothing to you.

My DmiL was Olive. She had no middle name. It isn't obligatory.

Olive is fab!
I love unusual middle names. Think you can go a little more wild!

Love things like:

Primrose

Month baby is born
Favourite colour
pink or blue depending on sex
birth stone
birth flower
star sign
Lucky number
birth date

Good Luck!x

Hello all,
Thank you so much for your suggestions and helping in where to look! I do like a few of these and as someone said, I think I'll get my Dad to send me some Family Tree info so we can look for inspiration there :)
