Dont like it. Sorry.

TheCowThatLaughs · 18/03/2015 20:46

I don't like it either, sorry

JimmyCorkhill · 18/03/2015 20:47

My DM's mean auntie was called this and as a child I always thought it was 'Evil Ena.'

AlpacaMyBag · 18/03/2015 20:48

We thought it was a bit fussy for our girl. We liked the name Lina but it's very common where we live. Evelina was an option but neither of us really liked it.

Arf at Evil Ena Grin

anothernumberone · 18/03/2015 20:49

There is a very common Irish name pronounced Eveen which is spelt Aoibhinn. Yours reminds me of it.

Alisvolatpropiis · 18/03/2015 23:02

I like it. I've known a couple of Evelina's, both were Eastern European.

Arendelle · 19/03/2015 11:24

I know a Dutch woman called Evelina. Not a big fan of the name.

LadyGregory · 19/03/2015 12:33

Annoying timorous-but-bags-the-alpha-peer Fanny Burney heroine.

mynameisnotmichaelcaine · 19/03/2015 12:35

I like the Fanny Burney novel! Quite like the name too ??

DramaAlpaca · 19/03/2015 12:53

I was just thinking how nice it sounded until someone above said Evil Ena.

Sort of gone off it now.

kavv0809 · 19/03/2015 12:55

There's a polish lady I know called this, think she spells it Ewelina?

JimmyCorkhill · 19/03/2015 13:30

I am sooo sorry Blush. I didn't mean to spoil the name for you. I just thought as a child that DM's auntie was called Ena and everyone agreed that she was evil (she was quite horrible apparently).

Is it/can it be pronounced 'Ev - elina'? I actually like that.

Castlelough · 19/03/2015 15:03

I know a Polish Evelina (Ev-el-eena) and I think it's very pretty.

5YearsTime · 19/03/2015 15:06

Love it. I've come across two before, both spelled differently

Yes, but so are Guy and Thomas London hospital names!

I've just realised I know a Dutch Evelien, which I've always liked.

StellaAlpina · 20/03/2015 23:02

My cousin's an Evelina, pronounced eh-ve-lina I think it's pretty.
