You're supposed to say sex because infants don't have a gender yet.
Why do we have to assign colours to unborn children? Way to set up restrictive gender roles before birth!

EhricLovesTheBhrothers · 17/03/2015 06:48

I like Heidi but not so keen on Blake

AuntieStella · 17/03/2015 07:18

Team Yellow means Norwich Unitied, doesn't it? The Canaries. Which doesn't really work as a name.

Carrow might work for a boy (but it's a bit Death-Eaterish)

Xanthe actually means 'yellow' for a girl.

(This is MN. Twee euphemisms generally not welcome. But likeky to rise to the challenge of finding actual yellow associated names).

MardyBra · 17/03/2015 07:20

Amber is yellowish.

MardyBra · 17/03/2015 07:24

Citronella?

Anna Banana?

Sorry. Not helpful I know.

curlii103 · 17/03/2015 08:15

Ahmmm mm sorry I thought team yellow was common use???? but yes it means we aren't finding out the sex!

team yellow is in common use. I've seen it on this board several times. People are just being ridiculous, don't worry about it.

Heidi Isabella is lovely.
I quite like Blake but you can't combine it with William!!

curlii103 · 17/03/2015 12:52

Because of William Blake? ? its my grandads name....I don't want him to blake John(bj!!) either though!

shakemysilliesout · 17/03/2015 13:10

I like heidi

And carrow.

RL20 · 17/03/2015 14:14

Agree that people are being ridiculous and trying to fit in with the 'politically correct' gang.
I had just written a large rant about the subject but deleted as I'm sure it would start an argument Grin

Anyway

I like both names. Love that the William is in there to 'break up the BJ' Grin

Connie Isabella

For some reason in finding it quite difficult to pair first names with Isabella as a middle name, probably because there are so many syllables, I'm not sure! Any more clues to the 'types' of names you like.
Girly, floral, cutesy, unisex?

Penguinotterfoxbadger · 17/03/2015 15:53

Heidi Isabela is great.

Blake is OK, but I much prefer just William John

Quite like Heidi although I wouldn't use it myself but not too keen on Blake, it makes me think if Blake 7

RL20 · 17/03/2015 18:17

Jilted I think manic (and me) were referring to another poster. Of course it's not ridiculous to have not heard of the term Grin

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 17/03/2015 19:20

Heidi Isabella is lovely.

Sorry but I really don't like Blake.

JiltedJohnsJulie · 17/03/2015 20:08

Is suggesting Saffron out of order too then? Smile

CarriMarie · 17/03/2015 20:18

Like Heidi Isabella, what about Jonathan Blake for a boy?

EhricLovesTheBhrothers · 17/03/2015 20:48

I'm not trying to fit in with the politically correct gang. I am the politically correct gang.
