DH keen on this name, I can't quite get past the Mayor London. What do you think?

I think of Boris Karloff first. I like the name (but can't stand Boris Johnson, I suppose some people might assume he was an inspiration if you used it)

MaudeLebowski · 14/03/2015 16:00

My brain just went to Bojo, sorry!

I do like it though.

PotteringAlong · 14/03/2015 16:01

I think of the mobdtod

PotteringAlong · 14/03/2015 16:01

That's meant to say the monster in the book "calm down, Boris!"

Penguinotterfoxbadger · 14/03/2015 16:06

Hahahaha.

No.

wigglesrock · 14/03/2015 19:17

I'm not a fan at all, I dont necessarily think Boris J, I just find it a very harsh name.

sugarplumfairy28 · 14/03/2015 19:42

Sorry but I just don't like it, Boris Johnson springs to mind and my husbands first car lol

squoosh · 14/03/2015 20:32

No.

It's the name of a rotund arms dealer.

Alisvolatpropiis · 14/03/2015 21:30

It makes me think of Boris Yeltsin. He was on the news a lot in my mid childhood!

Branleuse · 14/03/2015 21:34

i think its a fabulous name. Strong, a bit Russian.
I love it

Gumnast2014 · 14/03/2015 21:36

ihatemyphone99 · 14/03/2015 21:40

Sophronia · 14/03/2015 21:55

I quite like it.

Leeds2 · 14/03/2015 22:18

Think of Boris Johnson. Would assume you had named your DS after him.

Quasilulu · 14/03/2015 23:23

It's ok for a pet. Not a person.

fizzycolagurlie · 15/03/2015 02:27

Boris Becker. The man who shags waitresses on stairwells.
Boris Johnson. The man whose mistress aborted their babies.

that's enough to put you off, isn't it?

PeppermintCrayon · 15/03/2015 02:40

Nooo!!!!

Weekipper · 15/03/2015 04:04

No. It's the name I use for making up fictitious people when illustrating a point. I use it so then I don't offend someone with a 'real' name.

StaircaseAtTheUniversity · 15/03/2015 05:10

Second thought: PILs dog.

pilates · 15/03/2015 11:04
